Need Hotel Information:

I am making 2nd trip to CR in mid Feb. 2005.

Anyone have any personal experiences about staying at either the
Nuevo Hotel Central or the Nuevo Hotel Johnson in downtown San Jose.

I am looking for a very cheap but decent & secure place to stay.

I know about the cheap rates, so I am not expecting the 'Presidente' or 'Holiday Inn' for the budget prices these places charge.

Any other "budget hotel suggestions" would also be welcomed........
