The Presidente does NOT want our business now. They will NOT allow working girls on the property for any reason under any circumstances. Even if she's dressed like she belongs in the boardroom of a Fortune 500 company, they'll grill you (and her) and probably deny her entrance. |

I have always loved the HOTEL PRESIDENTE BACK in 2001-2005 and the open air NEWS CAFE which is no longer there. There was always a robbery walking back from the Del Rey but I was luckey not to be one. They had a hotub on the eighth floor and you could reserve it for an hour. It was $45 a night for a room. The vibe along AVENUE CENTRAL around sundown sittin in the News café was great. A nice walk to GRAN HOTEL to have drinks on their outdoor restaurant/bar. The Del REy was always packed by 8 pm. The monkey bar across the street was packed also. |

It was a favorite of mine: elegant, economical, and convenient. the rooms facing the mountains were spectacular. The walk back and forth from the Delray was not bad, at all. I heard they were purchased by a wall street type company and they didnt want any hint of anything tat wasnt Ivy League. They got rid of the bar and rented it out to the cell phone place, and the last time I saw buses of European families shuttled in and out of there. Too bad. |

While I don't "like" the Search function on this site - this is an example of where it would have come in handy ![]() Bill, thank you for your service ![]() |

Nice centrally located hotel but no more on the chica visits. I stayed here 4x years ago and enjoyed it. Hated to see their restaurant go. |
