Is there already a review of the individual rooms for Amistad?

My favorite is 202. It is located on the first stairway to left as you enter. Very large room with 5 windows that you can open and let the breeze in. It's right above the entrance so you can see anyone who is arriving. Very large jaccuzzi that takes 30 minutes to fill and a wood sauna. A shower that can hold 3 people.

We stayed in 202 and 203. Beds are awesome in both, same for tubs and saunas. 202 has a couple of stairs between the open area and bathroom which proved a challenge for middle of the night drunk women. 202 bonus as mentioned is windows but with that comea some noise. 203 is interior room and has a window, oddly, to the stairs. (Matt/Don, please have maintenance check it. It didn't close well and noise travels)

Beds by far were best in our 12 days and 4 hotels in country!

What are the rates on these two rooms?

Room 202 goes for $119 per night (less the CRT discount plus room tax). Breakfast, laundry, etc., included at this rate.

I've only seen the inside of one LA room, it was on the first floor IIRC and was super small. I'm guessing that was a queen?

Room 312 is supposed to be one of the penthouse rooms but the bathroom is much smaller. The shower is 2 people but the jacuzzi is only a 1 person older one. It is not like the one in the picture. It is more dated.

It kind of sucks since their website lead me to believe the penthouses all had 2 person jacuzzis. Plus know that room 312 is really like on the 4th or 5th floor. My fat ass probably needs the excursive anyway but it is not good to be out of breath when you bring a chica up to the room. You need your energy for other endeavors.

I will say the staff is friendly and the food is very good. I just think they should have a discount for putting you on such a high floor with a smaller bathroom. If I would have known I would have made a bigger point of it as I really do enjoy taking a soak with a chica before and/or after.

Not going to ruin my trip but I thought I would let the board know so that other guys could plan/request accordingly.

PS - I highly recommend using One Lucky Dog and Sid is the man!

I've stayed in 201 and loved it. The bed was huge and comfortable. The Jazcuzzi was excellent as was the shower. The little living room is nice to entertain in and the AC gets the whole room really cold (which is important to me lol).

The Amistad is a great place all around.

Does anyone know how are the rooms on 1st floor? I stood on second floor once but it was the room with window to the hallway and no A/C.

OG, I was in room 312 as well and I call it La MontaƱa (the mountain). That last flight before you get to the room can put you out of gas. Like you said you could use your energy for better things. I have to agree with you that the bathroom was somewhat small for a penthouse room. The Jacuzzi and shower were fine for me and a Tica (tight but that's not a bad thing - LOL). The service and food were good. Drank plenty at the bar. I had the all inclusive package so it worked for me (overall great value). If I were going to have a party in my room I would most definitely reserve this room but for just me it seemed a little large (even though I like my space). Overall, great experience and the staff addressed all my needs. I would definitely return to LA.
