Anyone have info on a hotel in Jaco called Vista Del Mar ? It is supposed to be accross the street from the Patio Bar I believe, about 50 a night, a friend of mine says he stays there and is trying to talk me into it. I'm not finding any info about the hotel on google. Thanks..... |

I'm not finding any info about the hotel on google. Thanks..... The place with this name is run by the Cocal and is right next to and overlooking the Cocal. No 50 per night. They are 3 b-room suite condos. I was told that when the owners are not in town the Cocal has a deal that they can rent them out for 400 per night. Thats actually a deal if you have 3 guys that want to throw a great party. The higher floors have a great view too. |

I'm almost sure by now that my friend is wrong about the hotel name since there is already the condo's with that name. All I have to go on is he said it is across the street from the Patio bar and that it is new. I'll find out for sure when I visit in a few weeks. Thank you for the replies. |

You have the location down, and I think you are talking about the Vista del Mar Condos - but you are not going to pay $50 a night - LOTS more expensive - stayed there twice; great place in a great location - but again not for $50 a night. (Jaco is expensive - if you found a good centrally located, friendly hotel for $50/night - post about it) |

As I thought my friend has admitted he got the name of the hotel wrong. He blames it on alcohol, lousy excuse. |

Only hotel close to the Patio Bar is Cadillac Rock...and it is around $50 a night. That hotel is actually right behind the bar...but no hotel across the street that I remember. They have a CRT discount post here. viewtopic.php?f=24&t=43788 Read that thread and you will see I don't recommend them... |
