Is anyone on flight UA 1565 tomorrow 5/22 from Houston that might want to split cab fare to Mona Lisa? I forgot to book Interbus and now they are full.

Unless your flight gets in late at night, try the Tuasa (red and white) bus from the front of the terminal building at street level into San Jose at the last stop at Ave 2, between Calle 12 and Calle 14. Cost of the bus = about 550 colones ($1.10).

Then take a red taxi to the ML. Cost of taxi = about $2.

Give the money you save to the girls.........they'll like it and so will you.

isn't that an extra hour or more to get to your destination? i think the standard transportation from these guys is around $30 to be waiting for you and take you to the door. whats your time worth?

For me, time is of the essence sólo en la cama.

I have never waited more than 10 minutes for the bus at the curb in front of the airport terminal. The transfer from the bus to a red taxi at the last stop for the bus (in town) doesn't even take 5 minutes. Both the bus and the taxi use mostly the same main roads as Interbus and the other providers.

Only if there's a wreck on the big road, will the bus will be a lot slower than a taxi, which can take evasive action.

Using the bus, there is not much (if any) wasted time to yield more money for the girls.

Very true - the bus is a great option, and more guys should use it - its simple, too - just go to the front of the SJO airport, and they come by very regularly -

ASK THE DRIVER "San Jose directo?" -
you are asking if the bus goes to down town San Jose, w/out stopping first in Alajuala - not the end of the world if it does, but you want a direct bus to downtown SJ.

Buses and cars use the same road, and the bus only makes a few <very fast> stops on the way to SJ, and the station is located very centrally, across from one of the big churches downtown. San Jose suffers from a lack of a single, central bus depot).

Give it a try next rip - you cannot miss the stop right in front of the airport.
