Based on what I can tell, there's not much action around the Real Intercontinental. I don't have a choice and will have to stay there. Is my only option to get a taxi to downtown or am I missing something that might be closer by in the area (Tango India perhaps?)? It'll be my first time in CR so something newbie friendly is preferred. |

You'll have a better selection downtown........ at ScoreS or Zona 2 or SL or the Del Rey. ScoreS and Zona 2 have VERY NICE short-term rooms. There is a hot-sheet hotel directly across Avenida 1 from the entrance to the Del Rey. It's called Hotel Paradise (formerly Hotel Queen). $12 for 2 hours. Clean rooms, clean sheets and towels, with a shower in the room. Porn on the TV. If you take a girl from the Rey, exit the Rey through one of the 2 exits on Calle 9 (not the Ave. 1 exit ) so the guard doesn't see the girl going directly into Hotel Paradise. Rumor has it that girls who go to Hotel Paradise will get banned from working in the Rey. |

Everything RAC said is true. Be carful if you go to Tango India , nice place good looking girls. It's a strip club , and in Costa Rica that means very expensive!!! Never run a tab. And ask before ordering the price of every drink. Some clubs the price changes from round to round. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Wow...that's tough to take ![]() When you leave to return to the Intercontinental, avoid getting a taxi in front of the Del Rey, unless you don't mind paying about twice as much for the ride. Walk about a block away and hail a taxi. |
