I Lived in CR for 5 years. I love CR and miss it very much. Steve is the only honest Taxi Driver I met in CR. I had to move back to the USA because my mom got cancer. I had 2 dogs that were like my K*ds that I couldn't leave behind. I had to make several trips back and forth to the airport to have the cargo boss inspect the crate for my Pittbull. Not only did Steve show up on time he had to wait on me for over an hour and never complained or charge me extra. I am well connected in CR and know what I'm talking about. Dr.Mario, Cujo, Pac55, and Bill from from the Sportsmans all know who (Cheap shot) my nick name Ted is and that I know what I'm talking about when it comes to drivers. Steve is cheaper than a pirata taxi and speaks english and won't screw you. You can't ask for more.If you need a driver you can count on Steve. Don't waste your time or money with any one else.

i think Steve is a great guy and use him often but thats crazy that a connected guy in CR hasn't met other honest drivers. i've met lots of them including your average taxi drivers. guys that will turn up the radio or talk about anything (provided you can speak some spanish). ime i would say 70% of the drivers i have met on my visits have treated me with respect and vice versa.
but definitely echo the sentiment in regards to Steve being a great guy not to mention ON TIME with no excuses every time I've used him.

There are other honest drivers but Steve is #1 no doubt.

I've met many honest people And Drivers. Costa Rica's reputation depends on it, I've even drove Road in the red pirate Cabs. Just Imo. I look forward to using Steve this week.

Was in CR with some buddies this past weekend and had Steve take us down to Manuel Antonio National Park for a day trip. He made the day extra special by taking us to some scenic stops along the way, as well as providing interesting conversation on topics mongering and otherwise. It doesn't take but a few seconds after meeting Steve to know he's a guy who will have your back. Whistle-blowing park ranger ticos chased everyone off the beach at 3:45. Steve challenged them, saying the park closed at 5:00. We didn't press the issue further...but I bet Steve would have stuck by us if we did. He went with us through the park and watched our stuff while we went swimming, and always went the extra mile. There MAY be a driver as honest, dependable, friendly, and hard-working as Steve who is English speaking...bit I wouldn't press my luck trying to find such a driver when you already have plenty of CRT members certifying Steve as #1.
