I have sent a couple of messages to the hotel in the last 2 weeks. Has anyone else had this problem?

I have had problems with them as well.I booked a room in May of this year for Nov..........but have still to got a e-mail confirmation.I have called them three times and they do show my reservation.............but no e-mail confirmation.

I had the same experience as well, where email was ignored for several weeks but no problem when I finally called. I don't think they always respond to email.

This kind of business practice would baffle most people. But nothing surprises me in CR anymore.

Thanks, this is not how to run a business CR on not. I have never had this issue in CR before.

FYI...the cocal reception desk Does not have email or Internet. You will be waiting until the cows come home. Moooooooo.

I am going to Jaco in just over 2 months and I booked a room at the Cadillac Rock. This this is my first trip there. I just want to see what all the buzz is about. I've heard some good things about the Cadillac Rock even though it's not the Cocal. But rooms are half the price and that difference covers the cost of my transport up and back to SJO. But when I booked the room it took over 2 weeks for a response. Then apparently the guy who confirmed me barely spoke(or wrote) English. So I guess that's the way things are in Jaco.

I emailed and never got a reply.

For my trip to Jaco/Cocal in August, I called and made a reservation. I also asked for an email confirmation. Never received email confirmation. I called 4-5 days later and asked for email confirmation and finally received one the next day along with their written cancellation policy.

Their website does NOT show their cancellation policy. Was told over the phone it was 48 hours before check-in time to cancel without cost. Their written cancellation policy stated it was 72 hours prior. Fortunately it was not an issue as I made it there as scheduled.

Last week I went to their website and filled out a reservation request. I still have not received an email mail back from them to confirm my requested reservation. Plan on calling them now to make a reservation over the phone .... what a pain in the a** ..... muy tico.

Must have called there ten times today with no answer....

This is my opinion is completely unprofessional, weather its in CR or not...how can you get business if they ignore potential customers. Any decent business anywhere has to be online connected. I too sent an availability request and have not heard from them. What a shame looks like a cool place but looks like I'll look elsewhere.

That sucks man. I enjoyed a lunch there outside by the beach when I visited Jaco for the day and the staff seemed to be ok. During the day I was approached by 2 fine looking chicas (in the early afternoon). I was impressed with the place at first blush, but now with these reports, I am concerned.
