Hey guys, I wanted to put this out there in order to hopefully save someone 5,100 colones. If you are parking at the Sportsmen after 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Monday - Friday or all day on Saturday, you might want to park behind the Sportsmen. For some dang strange reason, they are giving out tickets. I just got one the other day on a Saturday. I do not know of anywhere in Costa Rica where they are giving out tickets on Saturday except the Sportsmen. Sunday is o.k. Bill has been so gracious that he has allowed us to park behind his establishment and come in the back way, which in my opinion is a better place to park. I know he is working trying to resolve this issue. See you at the Sportsmen.

Gentlemen,

The law "now being enforced" by ticket writing Municipal cops I have been told has been on the books for years. Guests who have been parking hassle and costs free for 9 years after 5:00 pm now have to buy a ticket from the machine on the corner or have the parking attendant place one on your front window for a fee. It seems as though right at 5:00 pm the cops pull up in a van get out and start writing tickets in front of the Lodge until 7:00 pm. Until SL can do something internally about this you can park in the back and perhaps move your car up front after 7:00 pm or purchase a "parking boleta" from the two sources mentioned.

?I have watched that older man write tickets for years on the street in front of the sportsmen and the street going up the hill, mostly see him during the day, acts a little crazy.
