I'm looking for a 5 star beach resort with an awesome pool that is tica friendly and either has a great spot in town to find ticas or has a great concierge that will order in quality for me. Any suggestions?

About the only beach town with girls readily available is Jaco. Only 5-star resort I know of that is chica friendly in that area is the Marriott at Los Suenos. They do have excellent pools, nice golf course, safe/secluded beach as well as some great places to eat. Not as nice but worth your time to check out would be Pirate's Cove. They have several pools, are right on the beach and are chica friendly but I wouldn't say they are a 5-star resort. Hope that helps and wish you a GREAT trip!

Normally 2 separate and distinct places - although you could find a place on or near the place that is girl friendly in Jaco - like the Cocal - a 5 star like Los Suenos will not be. In fact, most resorts will not be - hell, I'd ask - they will tell you up front what their "guest policy" is - you will not be the first or the last to inquire

I'd also forget concierge's, bell boys, etc for recommendation - or look at his choices before you pay him anything - little daytime action in Jaco. Although at some pools you might be able to find girls - there was a small motel behind the Beatle Bar a lot of the girls stayed as well as a hotel outside of town that was reputed to have some daytime action by the pool - was dead the time I visited, but things have a way of changing overnight in CR - ask around.

Finally, tica simply means Costa Rican female - its not another word for prostitute. You stand a really good chance of seriously pissing off a Bell boy or Concierge <if they are ticos - which just means male Costa Rican> asking for a "tica" when what you really mean is a working girl - trust me on this
