With the goal of enhancing the current member benefits, I am appealing to CRT members to identify their favorite venues in Jaco.

In particular, based on previous posts the following hotels are chica-friendly.

Hotel Cocal and Casino
Hotel Club del Mar
Clarita's Beach Hotel
Copacabana Hotel and Suites
Vista Mar Luxury Residencias
Morgan's Cove
Club del Cielo
Hotel Poseidon
Canciones del Mar Botique Hotel

In terms of bars and night life, the popular venues include the following.

Cocal
Monkey Bar
Las Claritas
El Bohio
Le Loft
Los Amigos Restaurant
Plankton Club

Please chime in, if you feel there is a hotel or nightlife spot that I have missed. I would also be interested in knowing if anyone has had a good experience with particular vacation rentals for individual travelers.

Good idea to post this Admin. If I may make a suggestions, add a link to this thread in the newbie section. This way someone can cross reference this posting. I know I had questions when I read about Jaco for the first time as a newbie.

I went to hotel 9 witch is Dunn inn's hotel in Jaco. I'm pretty sure it's Chica friendly but not 100% on that. The rooms are really nice over looking there pool and hot tub. There beach area is well maintained with beach chairs and umbrellas for guests

I found the web site, and will add them to my list of places to visit.

Thanks, Brooklynkid. I appreciate the help.

Hello,
Does anyone know if Posado Jaco is chica friendly? It looks interesting and I was thinking of staying there over Labor Day weekend. Interested in any thoughts anyone might have. Primarily hoping to find a chica friendly place with a good bed, AC, small kitchen and pool for under $90/nt
Thanks!

I spoke with the manager of the Posada this week, and he said there is no problem, provided the girls behave. The rooms are quite nice with queen sized beds, A/C, refrigerator and coffee maker. Rate is $70 a night and I think you will be comfortable.

Chicago, The Posada is chica friendly if you keep it quiet. There are families that stay there as well. It's a real nice boutique 6 room Apart/hotel with full kitchen facilities, nice big pool with a swin up private bar. Rachero for grilling. The also own the Mau Mar next door. Big rooms, no kitchen. Robert is from New Zealand and does a wonderful job. This is where I usually stay when In Jaco. They are in the One Lucky Dogg discount network and I have special rates for this hotel. Much, much less than $90. P.M. me for rates and specials on this hotel and many more in Jaco.

You can go online and book a one bedroom apt in the Pasado for $60 in August. Use the Hotels.com and Booking.com sites as well as other hotel booking sites. You can usually do better than most discounts offered by CRT or others many times. Do your homework and you will save money.

All of the Jaco Hotels we have in our network, and this is one of them, are less when booking with us than you will find at booking.com or the other hotel booking sites. My goal is to save all as much money as possible, so you will have more for the p4p.

Anyone have any details on Daystar Diamante del Sol chica fee? There are 4 of us coming down in October and I'd like to get a 4br condo or 2 x 2br condo. Any other worthwhile condos to look at with no/little chica fees aside from those on the list? Need a place on the beach but close to the nightlife.

thanks

high end condo on the beach. Best to contact them direct and ask if it will be a problem. There are many owners that live in the builiding and may have a problem with it as it is very family oriented.

You should try the hotels that are non-family oriented. Most family oriented will not allow outside guests. It appears that Morgans Cove, Cadillac, Cocal... are better options than Condo's as I am sure that the rules and regs change rapidly in Condo's that experience problems.

The condos on the property of the Cocal (Vista Mar) have a 5-bedroom penthouse that would probably work for you. For sure, no chica fee and VERY nice but it is pricey. Might think about renting a three bedroom condo in Vista Mar for three people and to party in and another room at Cocal for the fourth person. Here is a link to the Vista del Mar condos...

And one of the many places that rent these condos:

Hotel 9 definitely Chica friendly I will say from experience. Nice place to take a girl. Owned by same folks as the Dunn inn. Get room 8 in the back...cozy.

Hi there guys. I thankful for finding this thread. I was searching around and stumbled across this list. Thanks Admin for this. I will be returning to CR for the second time in January and I'm not familiar with Jacó. I'm going to bring my cousin with me and this will be his first time in CR. We will do about three, maybe four days in Jacó so we can do a few things besides checking out the nightlife. From there we will do the remainder in San Jose about four to five days. Can anyone recommend one or two of the hotels listed in Jacó as good hotels so I can do some research and decide. I'm familiar with San Jose and know where we will be staying, just need some suggestions on Jacó. Thanks.

All information is greatly appreciated.
