PVT,

I'm a SPG Platinum member and I just looked on spg website and no sign at all of Sheraton opening in Costa Rica let alone San Jose. Is this a super secret opening? Looks like there will be no paid guests on June 13.

I'm sure it looks like it is ready to open. Lights were on the other night for first time I'd noticed and casino looked open. But outside those first-hand observations, I relied on that newspaper article...

I checked out the Casino and it is really nice. They only had about 15 people gambling at that normally busy time. I think the Hotel will be joining the high end places in the $200/ night range.

Looks like official opening is now July 1, 2013. Seems they rebranded to Sheraton at the last minute.
