Has anyone stayed in the Pura Vida room at the Sportsmens? How would you describe and rate the room?

Thanks

jimbo

I liked the room and the rate was cheaper than the rest. But for the cheaper rate you get the noise of the bar area at night. And then again in the morning when they are setting up for breakfast. Rough if you turn in early or try to sleep late.

Pura Vida was the room I stayed in on my first trip and it wasn't for me. If it was the last room available, would I take it? Maybe depending on how badly I want to be in CR but I really like staying at the SL so it might be a tough call.

Pura vida is not really very close to the bar, and my two times there I never heard any bar nose. I really like it. It is faded and a bit warn, but I found the privacy of being back by the little library nice. I think it is the best "cheap" room in the place.

Thanks H D.

I put my cousin in the Amistad ( Bill's old room ) and took the Pura Vida. I was hoping I didn't make a mistake.

PuraVida is right next to Amistad in the Club House section. You will be happy with it.

Hank's recollection is correct. It is past reception down the hall with Amistad along the way if I remember correctly. There are at least two other rooms back there if memory serves me and the workout room. Don't know if they are both still there, but as of February of last year there were two beds, which allowed you to dedicate one for sexo. The area outside the rooms is furnished. There is a small fenced in area outside which you can access during the Day when the door is open if you want to get fresh air.

I never had a problem with noise since as Hank said these rooms are not by the main bar. You may hear the occasional monger mating call, which is a given. My issue was that guys, some of whom weren't even staying at the SL, would hang out in the furnished area and smoke cigars and weed which would waft into my room. Don't know if the smoking ban solves this. The door was pretty flimsy but there is a safe in the closet. Enjoy your trip. Bunda.

On my recent trip I stayed at Pura Vida and it is a nice room with 2 beds but very noisy, water running noise came from somewhere couldn't figure it out, moved to Amistad bigger room with a couch and a tub.

I thought Pura Vida was in the bar area over by the bathroom that the chicas use.

Aren't the rooms in the Clubhouse wing the Amistad, Alegria and Fiesta?

Fieldtech-- I think you might be confusing Pura Vida with Buena Vida. Pura Vida is right next to Fiesta.

Bundaman you are correct, the smoking ban cured this. No more smoking of any type in that TV area any more.

You can close the windows at night to keep the noise out, much quieter than the one across the hall on the street side.
