As I was cruising American's website looking to see out of curiosity how much I could get a roundtrip ticket from ORD to SJO, I keep getting a error message saying that there are no flights to display for the dates i'm looking for.

The dates I wanted are 5/24 to 5/31/2013, same as last year and the only way I could even get fares to show up was by clicking show all carriers, and even then, from ORd they only show going through DFW airfport or a few others.

Most likely, AA hasn't posted their schedule for May yet. There are other airlines that are offering flights for that period. I would wait until after the first of the year and see what AA has to offer.

I tried your search got the same message...

"No flights were found. Try expanding your search by selecting alternate dates, class of service, airports, number of stops or including more carriers. Please check Where We Fly for airports we serve."

I went to Travelocity and it displayed flights connecting in MIA on AA for those dates.

Good luck in your search

Thanks HoustonBob. I have found my best deals there. I put the. message up for others who search using this site. If we don't talk again, have a merry christmas and a happy new year.

Interesting. I entered the info on kayak & it returned results for AA. Clicked on it & it took me to the AA page to book. You might want to try that...

I'm using matrix.itasoftware.com and coming up with plenty of flights on AA between ORD and SJO in late May. Nearly all of them have either at least one long layover, one risky connection (short connection, miss it and you're stuck overnight), or two stops rather than one.
