I am going to take the bus to Jaco. I know how and where to get my ticket in San Jose. What I do not know is how and where to get my return ticket. I do not know just when I am returning so I don't want to buy it until I am ready to come back. |

You buy your return ticket at the last stop, at the end of the line, in Jaco. There is a ticket counter there, behind the Pizza Hut, which is the location of the last stop in Jaco. It used to be that you could buy both tickets at the Coca Cola Terminal before you leave for Jaco, but, for my last trip, I was told that computer problems required me to buy the return ticket in Jaco. Sometimes the returning bus can be crowded, so don't wait 'till the last minute to buy the return ticket. Tickets have assigned seat numbers, like an airliner. I don't know if they allow standing, but the ride is about 2 hours, so you'll probably want to sit. You may want to take an $8 taxi ride from Jaco to Playa Hermosa, which is about 4-5 miles south of Jaco. The beach is MUCH nicer there. Good beach-front dining on a clean beach with BIG surf. But NO GIRLS for hire at Playa Hermosa. RAC |

Rac if I recall ladies night at Backyard Bar(Wednesdays if I am not mistaken) does draw some working girls in, but it is not made obvious and they may be there more to party with the girls than get a date. But like anything else I would not rule out possibilities. I have a friend that lives in Playa Hermosa I will have to ask him to refresh my memory. |

Play on Playa Hermosa in the day, play Jaco for the chicas at night. You don't mention when you are going but it's going to rain alot next 4 weeks. Starts getting better early December but still many cloudy days last Dec. |
