Here's an odd question for your Monday morning...

i know that many chicas do not live in SJ; some come to the city to work from as far away as Puntarenas and Puerto Limon. I met one chica who comes to SJ to work four nights/week, and comes all the way from San isidro del General.

So my question is this: Which hotels host the little darlings while they work at places like the HDR, SL, massage parlors?

It might be an interesting experience to camp out on the ladies' "home-away-from-home" turf. Maybe. Shrug.

Don't criticize the question, please. If you don't know, go to another topic and save your commentary for that one. I'm looking for information here, not opinion. Thanks! :)

Most of the "out-of-towners" I met in SJ would stay with family or amigos. While the others would do a daily commute from places as far away as Guapiles and Quepos several times a week. I had an amiga who lived in Quepos, and would come to SJ 2 or 3 times a week. Several times, she would miss the last bus home, seek me out, and then ask if she could spend the night with me. (Free of charge, of course. )

I thought there was a hotel just down the hill a bit from the old monkey bar. When you see them carrying a coat then most likely they came by bus from out of SJ and will be staying all night. Thus she will be glad to negotiate for a all nighter.

@Hank. Ah so! Now I understand *why* Californicationdude likes to stay at the Nuevo Johnson. Knew it couldn't be the smell from the fish peddlers or the cockroaches that drew his esteemed patronage.

@Californicationdude. Damn right you owe me one. Without Circus with us, I am depending on you to hassle the fruit vendors. See you in a couple weeks, hombre! You're still planning to be in town the first week of November, right? :?

Hmmm and I always thought that the Ticas mostly live in Desemperatos. I thought they all took the bus to the DR. I've often thought about going there to look for new pu*sy. There must be places where the local working chicas hang. Anybody have info?

There are a lot of working girls who live in Desemparados, Hatillo and Pavas. Some work in the gulch but many stay local. I do not think you would want to venture into the areas where they hang out unless you were invited by a local who knew the area and was well respected by the folks there.

A monger far more wise than I once told me:

"There are a couple places where it is very dangerous for a gringo to go. One is the ladies' room at the del Rey, the other is any neighborhood under gang control." La Carpio is a bad idea. Many areas (not all) in Desamporados are pretty rough, as are certain areas of Rohrmoser. I have noticed as I've explored the central valley that neighborhood character change change literally in one block's distance... in other words, you're safe on one block, but walk one block farther, and you're in danger.

I need to in fact, go to Desamporados this trip to visit the Helen Keller Institute on behalf of our state's school for the blind. The area where the school is located is fairly safe and tranquil, I'm told...but I've been warned not to venture too far off track.

If you *think* you're a badass, you might go where I would not. YMMV of course.

I guess I was just asking out of curiosity, more than I was asking in order to try and really meet the girls on their home turf. I believe it's probably better to meet them in their work environment.

I have a couple friends who live in Alajuelita. While I am close with both, neither want me to visit their barrios, because the area is absolutely dangerous for people not well known in those neighborhoods. I'm heeding the advice.

Thanks for the interesting comments and information, though. Especially Irish Drifter...you always manage to talk sense in the midst of silliness and misinformation. Thanks.

Sorry, you are going to get some opinion - IMO, you should be posting a hell of a lot more - 5 years ago, you posted like a possesed guy, sorta like.....well, never mind that

Always really liked your posts, your perspectives, your knowledge, your intellegence, sense of humor, and want to see you posting more - while I'm not going to stake out Hotel Asia :? you bring up an interesting point - in fact, I know "Eros" - next to "Relax" has rooms rented to chicas who work there so other places likely do too :)

@Scuba1 i would probably post more frequently, but changes made to this Forum (Flash movies etc.) make it exceedingly difficult for me to read, let alone post to this forum using my text-to-speech engine. Frankly, it's a real pain in the ass to even browse CRT these days. I need a couple cups of strong coffee, a shot of bourbon, a toke, a pinch of nasal snuff and a pep talk to myself to even log in.

Also, and this is the truth: The more I learn about Costa Rica and this hobby in particular, the more I realize how *little* I actually know. I got taken for quite a ride over the last couple years by the now imprisoned "China," who very nearly succeeded in working a long con on me.

Also, I nearly gave up the hobby. I don't know if it's because of my age (55) or my blindness, but things don't always work sexually for me with hookers. And frankly, I'm rather weary of being a "fugly magnet." See, the ugly/old/nasty ones see the blind guy and think "meal Ticket!" Sometimes it's hard to keep them off me. LOL So these days, I'm largely ambivalent about mongering.

I come to Costa Rica these days for the entireity of the experience. I meet with long-time friends (both gringo and tico), I make music, I work on my Spanish. I get drunk (something I never do in my "real life"). I eat rice and beans. Yes, the whores are important even if I am impotent. For me however, I am as interested in their thoughts and feelings as I am in their rental property. YMMV.

I will say this: CRT is still a very good resource for guys who are coming to Costa Rica for the party. There's more reality here regarding hotels and other non-prostitution topics than on most other so-called travel websites. Tom continues to do a great job administrating this board, the V.I.P. discounts mostly work, and despite changes that I have witnessed to the "scene" in Gringo Gulch, CRT continues to be an invaluable resource for me. Particularly when I'm getting ready for yet another trip.

Truly, that is a shame - you would think that would not be the case with today's technology, but I hear you

Also, and this is the truth: The more I learn about Costa Rica and this hobby in particular, the more I realize how *little* I actually know. One of those things, Paul - we always can learn, and often I learn something new every trip I got taken for quite a ride over the last couple years by the now imprisoned "China," who very nearly succeeded in working a long con on me. One day you need to post the story

Also, I nearly gave up the hobby. I don't know if it's because of my age (55) or my blindness, but things don't always work sexually for me with hookers. LOL So these days, I'm largely ambivalent about mongering. They have this really neat little blue pill that could make your life much easier  But to be serious, I hear you; my days of multiples are over too - we are close in age; I'm almost 58 - so I enjoy other things too

I come to Costa Rica these days for the entireity of the experience. I meet with long-time friends (both gringo and tico), I make music, I work on my Spanish. Particularly when I'm getting ready for yet another trip.Yep, agree with you 100% - its a great resource, and not just for what MP's have the hottest girls, or other sex related matters; for so much more

I concur with Irish – stay out of Desemparados, Hatillo and Pavas; and with El Ciego stay out of La Carpio and Alajuelita; and on the east stay out of Ipis and Purral. And if you are smart, I wasn’t, you will rent it don’t buy it. It is a nightmare that never goes away.
