Rascal, tienes razon. You're right. If nothing else, the lady is guilty of bad judgement.
One interesting side-effect of this was the lack of a "post-tragedy RFM." In fact, I repeatedly offered her money to tie her over, but she politely refused, saying my words with Bill would go farther to help her than a cash infusion.

I am frankly, shocked.
I.D. - No, and you know me if by reputation if nothing else. I understand that the suggestion was made with good intention, but I'd never cause any security person, room maid, bartender or desk clerk to "go easy on the rules" just so I could get what I want at that moment. I don't work that way; her renewed grace at the SL would have to be an open and honest thing. I stopped sneaking girls into my room when I was...er, well a few years younger.

(And my wife didn't even wake up...haw haw).
SoftBob/Isra... Yep. I already thought about changing my reservations, except for a few things. The SL is much more convenient for me on a variety of fronts: restaurant/bar on premises where the chica members can meet me, I truly like and respect the staff there from room maids who have been there almost since the hotel opened, to Ballardo and the security guys, to the front office staff and Bill himself. I know the hotel and neighborhood very well and feel comfortable there.
While the SL won't miss a few days of my stay from their bottom line, it is sad to think that I'll probably have to live for at least a few nights outside the SL. Ah well, I've been looking for an excuse to try the Dunn Inn anyway, and I do enjoy staying at both La Amistad and the Castillo. Hell, the Hemingway is starting to shape up into a fine little hotel... so there are options.
Thanks everyone for the well-considered comments. I do appreciate all responses.
