Anyone hear that Hotel Castillo closed down? A friend of mine just returned from CR and he says Castillo closed. Any info is appreciated. Thanks, Jac |

I have reservations with them for November and have heard nothing of them being closed. |

You can't just walk in the castillo.thru the bar and rest..they are closed....You press the outside buzzer for entrance to the hotel..the bar at the back has "sasha" as bartender, only beer 1500 colones or soda.water 1100 colones served,,this was last week ..... |

It was open for business last week. Was giving a newbie a tour of town last week & I showed him around the Castillo. The entrance next to the street-side bar is locked up, you enter through the door a little east, up into the lobby area. The bar in the back was open also, serving beers. |

I called Castillo last night (Thur, Sept. 20) and they are OPEN. Admin1 also posted, in the other Castillo thread, that he had spoken to Darren two days ago and all was well. So NO, they DID NOT CLOSE and have no plans to. |
