Yes. The deluxe rooms are worth extra money IMHO. But if you are on a budget the standard rooms are more than acceptable, and the best value for the money.

the deluxe rooms are very modern, beautiful bathrooms, really nice. closest thing to the Mansion wing rooms at SL imo.

Standard rooms are smaller then some u.s jail cells. Go with the deluxe

and some deluxe rooms are better than others, ask for the room that has the stained glass window wall facing the street. room is small but is like a mini suite with a cool sitting area.

I stayed in the room to the left of front desk. No A/C only a ceiling fan. when I stayed there it was unusually hot and I couldn't stay in there during the day. It was okay but LaAmistad king room is better. Wi'fi worked great better than the TV. However one guy had negociated $100 for 2 hours with a chica and she wanted to leave after 1 hour so he paid her $60, she then took a beer bottle to new plasma TV in his room. So plenty of excitment going on when I was there (Apr 2010)

Try the room over the entrance. Nice balcony. Roomy and clean.

The standard rooms are small. The bed barely fit in the room, little room to walk around the bed. Pay a couple bucks more for a bigger room.

I like the Dunn Inn, nice and quiet. My last trip I stay in a deluxe, room# 20, did't think it was that big. My room was next to the stairs. Chicas with high heels could really make loud noises going up and down the stairs. The room's window was on the stair side. Had to keep the window closed because my chica was making loud moaning sounds......I was making loud moaning sounds

Would the Dunn Inn be the best choice for quietest hotel among the more popular ones? I was considering Amistad but don;t wanna deal with the train. Also, is A/C needed around this time? Im heading down in mid January.

Get a room on the 2nd fl. not facing the street....ac and ceiling fans in most rooms. Nice hotel with ok restaurant/bar. The staff are top notch. Forgot her name, the short stocky blonde waitress was the most gracious , polite, helpful person I've met.

cheers,
Attila
