Hello again all,

We are pleased to announce we have a new General Manager and Partner at HLH.

Jeff Brandt, fondly known as "Dirty Jeff or Big Jeff" will be starting August 16th. Many of you may know him already as he has been coming down to the gulch frequently for about 14 years. Please stop by, say hello and have a drink.

Jeff’s energy and personality we feel is a perfect fit for the continued success of HLH.

The hotel reservations, operations and promotions such as cash is king, legs and eggs, birthday upgrade etc. will continue as before.

This is also the official announcement that Boyd is no longer associated with HLH. We are thankful for the direction he moved the Hotel in and wish him well. His personal situation continues to be a private matter and his CRT friends should feel free to reach out to him directly.

We will continue to strive to be a great destination for the CRT community.

Any questions feel free to PM myself anytime.

Greg

Nice. If you approve of Jeff, and his hospitality is similar to yours, then this is good news.

If this Jeff was the driver and factotum for Smile 90210, then this is an excellent changeover and the house is in good hands.

So it is written, so it is done.

I'm prepared to move on from the past anyway. I'll be at HLH in a couple of months and I'm ready to kick back, relax and have a great time with the ladies.

This time Camilla better be waiting!

Gentlemen,

I have personally known Jeff Brandt for eight years. In my opinion HLH could of not done better in their selection of Jeff as the new general partner in charge of operations. Jeff is bright, energetic, full of fabulous ideas and is top notch and "very important" an honest guy.

Jeff has a full gambit of life experiences professionally (never affiliated with The Dental Team in Curridabat) that he will draw on to make HLH a fun and safe place to visit/stay. Jeff knows the gulch and spends time with new friends explaining the do`s and dont`s while walking about the streets and culture we enjoy here in Costa Rica.

CRT VIP members will be very happy to get to know Jeff Brandt at HLH, without a doubt....IMHO.

When True Sportsman posts a recommendation as he did above, I have no doubts Jeff is going to be a great asset to HLH.

I've spent a fair amount of time in HLH lately and it is rocking along as good or better than anytime in the past, even during the good ole ZB days. The girls actually seem happier with many saying things are much more pleasant for them now. Rooms are still as good as ever, lineup is still excellent plus the hospitality is still first class with Greg and Jim showing a very high standard of service...even to the point of helping some new guys down for a bachelor party out on a trip to Del Rey!

HLH still has my highest recommendation right up there with the quality operation True Sportsman has always had at Sportsmen's Lodge. IMHO...those two, along with Amistad, are the class of the gulch.

This is very good news indeed! I met Jeff a few years ago on my first trip to San Jose. Just before embarking on my maiden voyage, my wingman cancelled. There I was at the SL, a total newbie in a Hawaiian shirt armed with nothing more than a pocket full of cash, a box of rubbers, some little blue pills and a bottle of mouthwash. I have to admit, i was scared beyond belief! I noticed a group of guys at a table having a good time and got up the nerve to introduce myself to the group. After a few minutes, the group warmed up to me. Dirty Jeff was one of them. After spending some time speaking with me and determining that i wasn't a total douchbag, Jeff took me under his wing and gave me an education in mongering that has proven to be priceless...yes the first thing he made me do was lose the Hawaiian shirt and the second was how to chica proof my room! He didn't have to do this, but he did it anyhow. I have had the privilege of getting to know Jeff much better over the last couple of years and I am convinced that he is the right person to take on this challenge.

Big Jeff is a GREAT choice! Known him a few years now. Just don't sit near him or he will get you "phucked up" on the jagermister "grenades" he passes out. Jeff is a frequent visitor to all of our establishments.

This July, I saw him at SL where he gave me 3-4 of those little bombs...we went to eat and then went to HLH... I go walking up to sit in the corner (leather chairs) and guess who is there? yup, Jeff who procedes to hand me another "grenade". kept drinking with him and Kamala the rest of the night (the next morning I woke up in my room laying on the bathroom floor and don't remember how I got there or how I got up to my room at HLH from the bar). Jeff is REAL good people! Look forward to seeing my friend Jeff in November when I will be staying yet again at HLH.

HLH owership group did real good on this selection.

guess ill be meeting him tomorrow. im a long time devoted hlh customer. i fixed there wireless so it wouldnt keep going down and they would have to run all around rebooting all the wireless access points. and im not sure if they changed it or not but i showed them how to make the rueben everyone likes so much. I also spent some time in the kitchen making some gratisis for the patrons. i would make something and boyd would walk around passing it out. kinda got the appitites going. after walking around passing out some little snacks the kitchen would have tons of orders. we would do this usually at happy hours. not sure if he did that stuff when i wasnt there but man it seemed to create alot of kitchen orders.

La Diablo-I respect your opinion can you elaborate why Jeff is a bad choice (wrong guy) for the HLH? Thanks
