This Giant (6'7/350lbs) had many loyal followers in his kingdom. He ruled his kingdom well, treating his loyal followers with free drinks and free sessions. That and a smile can win much loyalty. A good time was had by all.

Then a storm blew in and the Giant took many hits, survived a few, but eventually the Giant made a great fall. Many accusations were made. The Giant possibly stole $$, the Giant maybe stole a car. Only a select few know the exact details. So the loyal followers are left in disbelief, some remain True Believers, some are willing to accept reality.

But all of this is beside the point. The REAL tragedy of the Giant the followers so dearly loved is the act he committed that has rarely (or never been mentioned). To this storyteller, this act is far worse than the other accusations.

This act is fact and not conjecture:

One evening, a couple of months ago, the Giant, in one of his many rages, came to the front desk of the Hotel. There sat a petite Filipina lady, weighing in at a mere 100lbs. The Giant was not pleased with one of his peasants, the Filipina.

The Giant screamed in a rage heard all the way to Done Inn. The 100lb peasant, although no match for a Giant that was triple her size, dared to defend herself by explaining her actions.

The Giant would have none of this, a peasant talking back to him. So the Giant took matters in his own fists to this betrayer. He lifted his mighty hand and gave her a few swats with his huge fists. The peasant tried valiantly to protect herself from the Giant, but to no avail. She had whelps and bruises all over herself from the onslaught of the Giant. Off to the ER was in order for the peasant. And she was never to be seen or heard from again.

I wonder if The Giant ever had the decency to apologize to the peasant for such a cowardly act. Or did he let greenbacks do the apologizing for him?

Of course the fact that the giant laid a hand on the defenceless peasant is inexcusable, but the parable does not say why the giant ogre became so pissed off at the peasant in the first place.

All I know is the cute Filipino girl at the reservation desk was there at the end of May and into early June. She was always very nice and helpful to me. I really hope the big guy didn't hit her, and that report is incorrect. Did this incident occur with the girl at the front desk after the Giant was also accused of pushing one of the girls down the steps at HLH in a drunken rage? I know the steps incident happened because the Giant told me directly that it did when I was there at the end of May. Now the giant's version of events was much different then the rumors. He told me he only acted in self defense when the girl struck him in the face, but the situation had been resolved with the girl and the police. But now I wonder if it really was settled.



I know people who love Boyd, and I know people who hate him. He was always good to me but I made sure to stay away from him when he had been drinking excessively.

Oh, there is a major CRT battle brewing here. Sides will be taken, people will get pissed and this one is going to get good. "Brothers" will choose sides against brothers which could become quite ugly. I'll watch as I have a hard enough time taking care of me, much less others. A word to all sides. If you really find yourselves getting upset or passionate about either side, you might have been hanging out with these little drama queens you like to bang too much...

Oh yeah...this is gonna end well!

You know there seems to be a pattern I'm noticing here throughout these "What happened to Boyd threads." Those that liked Boyd allude to it AND those that don't like him allude to it as well. Since I'm harmless and not well known, I've come to believe that whether he did or did not do XYZ, one thing that's for certain is that:

Boyd drinks too much.

Fighting with the girls, throwing tantrums in front of staff and guests, and accusations of theft/larceny abound. These incidents (if true) seem to be a direct result of alleged alcohol abuse. If any of the incidents occurred as some on this board claim, it would be surprising to me that Boyd would remain in his position for as long as he was! Incidents of workplace violence, drinking on duty or harassment of staff would never be tolerated at my job here in the U.S.(or most jobs for that matter). However, this is CR and not my personal place of employment. It's a different world down there as far as employment standards go.

I hope that his "family emergency" includes taking time to go to AA or some other place where he can deal with himself and his family in a sober way. I mean that. This man needs some serious help even if only some of what has been discussed on this board is true. Everything this guy touches eventually turns negative sooner or later. He needs to face his dragons. That's how I see it, anyway.

After hearing some of the facts, which may be accurate of which I am not disputing. I hope also that Boyd
resolves the problem that causes him to defame and lose control of himself. I can attest to the fact that alcohol can rule your life and make you do things that you would not do normally. I wish him the best and one day I hope he makes everything even. For those who really disliked Boyd , he is only human and everyone has his faults. I myself prefer to not dislike or hate anyone. I just have the option of not associating with them. I do like the pros and cons of debate on the site. Whoops I did say Cons! pun intended

Late but better than never, someone came forward with a direct hit. Last night, Chi-trekker finally said he did xyz to me. Not hearsay or innuendo.

If you believe his story, pretty bad. The picture painted is of a con artist. If you connect the dots with the rest of the stuff, a con artist supreme.
