Does anyone have any opinion about the deluxe rooms at HDR? I will be staying there next month and it seems like if you wanna stay there....everyone says get as close to the top as you can. The deluxe rooms are on the 6th floor. Your thoughts on:

Are they pretty decent rooms?
Are they very loud?
Any other thoughts?

Save yourself the heartache and stay at either HLH/SL or Amistad. If you can afford the trip you can afford taxis around town. IMHO the hottest and easiest chicas to deal with are at HLH right now. Hot girls available at SL and DR, but they can be sharks.

translation?

tried it on Google translator and Greengoesee isn't listed....it did its best though....LOL

if you really want to stay at the Del Rey for a first trip, get as high a room as you can as there is lots of hot water, pu*sy, poker, and an atm, but Hotel Little Havana and the Sportsmen are better options......the rest it just spit out jiberish

Get the standard room and see if you get a room on the 4th floor or above at the back to avoid the noise. If you don't get one of those rooms then you could ask them to give you a deluxe room on the 6th floor. I prefer the rooms on the 6th floor with balcony, when its not available I usually get a standard room on the higher floors. The deluxe rooms are larger in size than the standard but the in-room amenities are the same

My thoughts as well.

Redpirate:

I think the hotel Del Rey is a good place to stay. Others have different opinions and I respect them all.
The Delrey has been my hotel of choice since 1997. I will be staying there on my next trip.
As for a deluxe room. The only difference in a deluxe and a standard is floor space. The deluxe is a good bit bigger and comes with table and chairs.
The bathrooms are pretty much the same. The rooms on the 6th floor are not all deluxe rooms. The sixth floor is a unique floor.
More about that in a minute. The 2nd through 5th floors or exactly the same. By that I mean room 214 will be exactly the same as room 314 and so on up to the fifth floor.

The 6th is completely different. It contains two suites, a run of many sweets ( more accurately described as rooms with a balcony ) and an assortment of deluxe and standard. All floors also contain economy rooms. Very small no outside window.

As for how loud are they. Third floor and progressively so as you move up gets less noisy. Would still recommend earplugs what ever room you get. It's not a peaceful little hotel off in the hills you're in the center of the universe as for as pay for play in Central America goes. So you get what you would expect.

Are they decent rooms. Yes. Can you find a better room yes. Can you find a better place to have the decent room? No.

My opinion: it's a comfortable claim well staffed hotel with an unbeatable attraction on the ground floor. By the way you will love the 24 hour room service.

Any questions feel free to PM me. If I'm feeling energetic I may even send you some photographs of the different rooms. I've stayed in just about all of them.

Enjoy the good ones and forget about the bad ones.

Lee

Standard rooms are fine. Little smaller than deluxe but works just the same and half the price.(more money for more chicas) I would recommend the 5th or 6th floor since it is less noisy. Everyone has their own opinion of the Delrey but you have everything right there and you always meet some great people. I always have a great time when I stay there. Just book my trip today for Sept. Enjoy!

i have stayed there 9 out of 10 times in cr.
usually get a standard room on 5th or 6th floor but i have had 1 on the 3rd and 1 on the 4th.Never a problem although it can be a bit noisy at times.
The 1 time i stayed at the dunn inn it was quiet till about 6:30 am then nothing but car horns and noise for 2 solid hours.

You will enjoy the DR for its 24 hour atmosphere if thats not your thing hlh and sl + others are probably better options.

I have stayed there many times over the last 15 years, I have moved on because of the circus out front, but I always asked for rooms 517-518-519 or on that back wall. I would get an early shower because I like warm water.

OK Capitan, you get the Greengo honorary award for the night. Although your statement is physically true.
