None of the world's top 10 airports are in the US. This is about to change--here's an article on it: http://www.nytimes.com/2012/06/15/busin ... ports.html

I love ATL, easy to navigate, great food & shops.

I agree. ATL is almost overwhelmingly large for someone who's never been there, but for its size, it's actually very easy and quick to navigate. It's one of my favorites, but I find it mostly bland and austere. One Flew South has long been one of my favorite airport bars, and gets a lot of press in the travel mags. MSP has a nice little "mall" in the center of the main concourse which is nice. Most USA airport concourses are not very pretty inside.

I thought ATL was huge on my first time through there, but managed ok. BUF is a hole & DTW isn't bad. You're right, MSP isn't bad...went through there on a flight to Phils. Only beef is that the duty free didn't have my brand of cologne.

The TSA will always be there at US airports to make sure you have unpleasent thoughts about landing in the US.

I've only ever had to go for secondary search at IAH. Even that wasn't too bad. But it was kind of funny because one of the officers asked me to point out which of them sent me for it. Got the impression the dude was going to get ragged on.
