Anyone know if the courtyard bar is open at regular hours again with the opening of the new restaurant?

Is the Castillo quiet--I mean do you get alot of noise from the next room or from cars and stuff outside?

Unless you book #8 or #9, it's pretty quite, except for the clicks of high heels of the chicas in the original mansion, and the stairs. To me this adds to the charm. I once had an episode with an MILF, nicknamed by members as "Cruella de Ville", I'm sure no one slept that night, the bed moved across the wood floors from wall to wall several times that night. :D
Yes, it is a quite place, and one of my favorites, I'll be there Nov. 30th

Darren is the manager, and a great guy to boot, and Martha at the front desk will go out of her way to help with day trip bookings, taxi, ect. The other employees have always been helpful as well.

Have a good trip!

The Beds are much nicer at LaAmistad. I stayed one night in Castillo and the mattress was completely blown out. Old TV with poor reciption, No A/C in my room. I may have been given the worst room in the place, I don't know I haven't been back.

Was a frequent flyer at Castillo for a few years, and I've stayed at Amistad. Both good hotels with good management. Castillo is noticeably less expensive, though.

LOL. Last trip down, me and my date would check on the fish every morning as we walked down those stairs :)

And as others have said, the beds in Amistad are very comfortable.
