| Post subject: | Hotel Vesuvio? |
Any buddy have any experiance staying at Hotel Vesuvio? ive been staying at Amistad for the past few trips but see Vesuvio is a bit cheaper, just wandering if I should try it out...also besides key largo to get something to eat late night is there any place cheaper and somewhat safe in the vicinity of the del rey? |

i only walked through vesuvio once when i used to stay at amistad. it was clean but nowhere close to the standards matt or bill have for their rooms. as far as late night food its out there but you have to be willing to walk. or you could always swing an i'll buy if you fly deal w a chica

Have also been curious about Hotel Vesuvio each time I pass it on the way to/from La Amistad....did a quick search & the consensus seems to be that the rooms are small & very basic. http://costaricaticas.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=38918&p=439571&hilit=vesuvio#p439571 |

Some of us endure more spartan quarters than the Hotel Vesuvio (Hotel Nuevo Johnson, anyone?). The main problem with the place, I'm told, is that the owner/GM is a bit of a sh!t. Don't know this personally but it would be a last resort for me. |

It will be particularly interesting if you're first given a room which is already in use (contact the review author for addtl. details)...
