Everytime Spirit tags on an another fee, their flights become even more jammed packed. Go figure. :?

Assuming we all play by the same rules, I can see why they are going to charge 100$ for carry on at the gate, having seen some of the suite cases some people carry on. That being said:
I've never flown Spirit, don't think I ever will.( never say never in life)
It nickels and dimes you to death, while offering re-dick-ulas one way fares. They have to pay for the jet fuel and pilots salary some way.
From what I've read here, and other places ,absolute piss poor customer service.
I rather pay 50 or 100$ more and know what I'm getting upfront with at least, some customer service.

I flew spirit once and it was such a miserable experience that I have vowed never to again. The worst US airline in my opinion and I have flown them all.

as much as spirit nickel and dimes u i have flown them my 5x going to cr and ive actually never had a problem with them. Plane has always been on time and besides the bag fees ive actually had a pretty good experience. I also take them cause alot of the times they are the cheapest by far from FLL and im willing to put up with the tight seats for 2hrs thinking of all the fun im about to have for 10 days down in cr

It is a bus, or what riding cross country in a bus was like in the 1960's.

Come prepared. I bring something to eat, something to read, something to make me sleep, noise cancelling headphones. I pack light, just a back pack and overhead compatible roll-a-aboard.

Look at the price of the fare, figure you will pay twice that, and accept that it is still cheaper than other airlines.

For 2-3 hours from FFL to SJO or MDE, you can't beat it. They leave on time, they arrive on time. FFL is smaller and easier to get in and out of than Miami.

Sure, it is not the 1960s with the eye-candy stewardesses, people dressed nice and on their best behavior, good service, decent leg room, and nice meals. But then again, my dad, a unionized autoworker making $2.20 an hour, was able to afford a nice apartment in Manhattan, but could not afford 4-5 trips to exotic locales like I can today.
