Heard from my driver during last trip in (last week of March) that the Clarion will be reopening within a year. Will have gambling and entertainment, etc. Wondering if anyone has heard similiar news? Be nice to have another place with, hopefully, no tica fees. Will certainly create more excitement in area by Dunn Inn (Clarion is across the street from DI).

There was a crew of workers sand-blasting the exterior of the Clarion yesterday.

Ron - Tica fee's :?: - you were not using "Tica" as a generic term to describe prostitutes, were you :?:    :P  It simply means female Costa Rican and using it as a nother word for prostitute is highly offensive to Costa Ricans, as you can well imagine

Look, I get it - you are new, inexperienced, and want to use the "cool" terms  :P

Just use the correct ones :)

When presented with the opportunity to be a tool, you don't ALWAYS have to take it

Who's the tool - the guy using a wrong, offensive term, or me?

Until some guys smarten up, I'm going to correct them - or do you prefer we just let them be stoopid

You don't like my posts, don't read 'em - and if you do read them, you might discover that I could be called many things, but "tool" is not one of them.

Ok Guys.......how about "No visitor fees". Should make everyone happy with this generic inference with no insult intended to anyone one person or gender. Appreciate your comments and replies.

After the Presidente gave us the boot, the Clarion became my favorite place to stay. I wonder whatever happened to Nixon?

On one of my visits I stayed at the Clarion & booked thru Nixon.
All went well until it got shutdown for not paying taxes. Yea that time.
Not on my list anymore....
