What are the best rooms at La Amistadt, I have always stayed at Castillo but am looking for a change. I do not need a Suite, or a Jacuzzi, just nice quiet comfortable room preferably with a stand up shower. |

I stayed in 208 3 weeks ago. Only needed to crash for a night so it was OK, no so for more than a day, very small, no closet. Walk in shower was nice. Minor kitchen noise, can hear chairs moving, train not bad though. |

I have stayed in 215. Window over looking the train tracks and big walk in shower. Morning train did not bother me. |

In my personal order of preference: 202 - room I always ask for if available, dry sauna, jacuzzi, large shower stall, lots of windows, train noise isn't bad. 203 - not a bad choice, but no outside windows. 312 - best layout of all the suites, with the largest living room, dining room, skylights, largest dry sauna, plus the marvelous and very private balcony... BUT you have to deal with the 4 story climb to get to the room plus you WILL feel / hear the train. 201 - another suite with dry sauna, but faces the train tracks. 311 - the old owner's apartment, with the urinal and the kitchen. 212 - I like this studio, has a large jacuzzi and shower, but it has no outside windows, slippery floor and a high step to the bathroom. mh |

MH, those are suites, and he specifically said that he didn't want any of those. ![]() What I call the "hallway wing" on the 3rd floor has several nice regular rooms, particularly 307 (I think that's the number, it's the one in the corner at the end of the hall), which I've stayed in several times. This area is away from the tracks, almost on the opposite side of the building I think. |

I realize that, but he also said "What are the best rooms at HLA", remember? ![]() I figured someone would give the scoop on the regular rooms, so I wanted to let him know about the suites, too. Just trying to help the guy, sir ![]() Mh |

Trains wont bother me, I live very close to busy train tracks here. looks like 215 is a good choice, now all I have to do is find one for my wingman. |

I was in room 201 for a week between Christmas Eve and New Years Eve--I really liked the layout of the room for a penthouse suite. The trains never bothered me; I brought earplugs just in case, but never used them. If you like to sleep late and sunlight bothers you, it might be a good idea to bring an eye mask. I am getting close to my 2nd trip (arrive on the 16th)and decided to try out one of the studio apartments this time--didn't really feel like I needed the whole penthouse suite. Can't forget the awesome Tempurpedic Matresses, free laundry, and free calls to the US either. It is also a nice step away from the scene when you want or need a break. USA41 |

Guess I will be staying at the Castillo again, I have yet to find two decent king or queen rooms, lots of suites I don't plan on spending all my money on accommodations. |

Room 210 & 211 are both nice. King Beds, away from the tracks and close to the breakfast area. |

Before I got an apartment in CR, I stayed in room 211, King Bed, nice bathroom, plenty of room, and nice TV. Stayed there on my frequent trips over a 3 year period. Matt, the manager good guy. ![]() |

VERY loud train noise. I checked in at 2pm and checked out before the night was over. |
