The rooms are fine. The housekeeping and other services are good. The food is good. The service is good. Plus they have a full menu and the bar is open 24/7. The Key Largo is one of the most beautiful buildings I have ever been in. Go in there and spend some time looking at the architecture and woodwork. Plus it is a great nightclub and restaurant. The Girls 24/7. Lots of em. It is more $ for some things but I guess it's just all in how you want to roll. Stay thirsty my friends. |

I'm willing to bet this guy has never stepped more than 100 feet outside the Del Rey/Key Largo/Del Mar compound. He has no frame of reference. |

Very possible - like many of the so called CR "experts", their frame of reference begins and ends at the HDR and the Key Largo ![]() While I was nowhere that "provincial" guys like BangBang and Bilko really opened my eyes to a lot starting about 5 years ago. Regardless, he is entitled to his opinion (hell, I like the Morazon and there are many who despise the place - there is, in fact an active thread about the place now - but they are entitled to their opines too ![]() So long as he realizes that there are many who would disagree and feel there are far better options available. |

I love the 24/7 aspect of the Del Rey. It's also the best place to stay location wise, but as for being a hotel, it's average at best. Their beds are horrible and the rooms need to be renovated. Housekeeping and service is good. I don't like the $11 whore fee, but it's not a big deal. If you stay there a week, your discount will offset the whore fees. I plan on staying at the HLH on my next trip. My second choice would be the SL, but I wouldn't rule out staying at the Del Rey again. |

The worst thing about the HDL, to me, is that the location itself encourages quick sessions. Many moons ago, some of us would place under over wagers (no cash, just playful bets) about how long it would take a chica to come down the elevator. 20-25 minutes was not uncommon. I have not seen times like that in other venues; getting them out of 100% working mode can facilitate a better, longer session. Of course, the hotel is just one factor, but seems to make a difference. That said, I said there for three nights on one of my earlier trips, and while it is not a great place to stay, I am glad I did it once. Being abel to head down the elevator any time of night into the belly of the beast was a thrill. That said, the room price is not more than double, with other hotel options not having risen nearly as quickly. |

Not always, not all the time, and so many other factors are dependent (have I offered enough disclaimers ![]() I also think it does not give you a balanced view of CR as many tend never to leave the place - also have talked to numerous "CR Experts" (so called...) who were staying there and knew it all when in reality they did not know jack shit; just seems to foster that type of attitude in that type of guy. |

i cut my teeth at HDR as many of you probably did also. i am forever grateful for CRT for teaching me that there is a much larger (and more economical) P4P scene in CR to enjoy. |

I can't say about staying there as it has been a very long time. Am I just going at the wrong times or has quality gone down a bit? I've always been a fan, but last five or so times, the place just seems a little skankier as the chicas go. As a disclaimer, I have probably been in there a half dozen times in the last 6 months. |

Krico, nice meeting you at the Delray office (lobby) last week. You did the right thing to stay at the HDR for your rookie trip. Many of us have done that and it is a good first step! |
