Post subject: | Sleep Inn Report |
I just stayed at the Sleep Inn for 4 nights. The report follows: Very comfortable and quiet, breakfast OK (not great), room fine, kind of like a normal American motel. I checked in one chica and she stayed all 4 nights for $10 per night, as my second guest, if you will. Most of the guys I saw in the dining room I also saw in the Del Ray, though there were also some older couples there. I think I only saw one other chica. I liked the nice comfortable feel of it and I loved the convenience to the Del Ray late at night - no need to take a cab. I would go back. Also, for me personally, I would rather have my fun at the MP's and just drink and dance at the Del Ray. Thus, the $35 chica fee is not an issue with me. I used to always stay at the Presidente, which I liked b/c of the News Cafe, and location. The breakfasts were better, more variety and there was someone making eggs to order. However, the rooms were small and, of course, the chica policy became unbearable. |

For you, no, not a bad deal - but for many guys, especially those doing 2 a day at their room, the $70 + 13% tax ($79.10) makes a room for a base of about $100 + fees a non starter for many - friends stayed at the Sleep Inn last week; agree w/ you 100% about the breakfast vs the Presidente - shame they changed their policy ![]() I agree its tough to serve 2 "markets" but I will not stay in a place that by their actions and pricing really is telling me they don't want my business. |

i stayed at holiday inn last trip and grabbed a 2nd room at SL for monger activities. me and my wing spent almost $400 for room and chica fees (in addition to our holiday inn expenses). short story, we booked our rooms at Boyd's place (HLH) this trip and will have far more $$ to give to chicas as a result (unless cab fares really add up) ![]() |

When you say chica fees you have to be refering to the Holiday Inn as there are none at the Sportsmans - HI is about the worst in SJ - what, like $70 or $75 (+ tax) ![]() Cab fares could increase by a factor of 10 and you will still be ahead w/ one room vs 2. |

I hear ya ![]() ![]() In a pinch, there are other places (Morazon, La Amsasted, place near it that I can't think of the name, Dunn Inn, Freebird, to name just a few) The only reason I commented on your post was a guy recently posted about staying at the Presidente and getting a room at the HDR - thought it was a total waste of money. |
