Not sure, but I thought I heard a rumor here a couple of days ago that the place has new owners... Asian, IIRC. Joanna, whos tending bar here at the LA, said she was working there before it got sold. |

I was at the Castillo several days ago and there was no hint of new ownership of the hotel. You may be referring to the restaurant, which has been operated by an Asian man for about a year. Try contacting Darren at: PHONE: 506 2221 5141 EMAIL: hotelcastillo@racsa.co.cr |

The Hotel Castillo has been for sale since the day Steve bought it. 1.6 million. I have not heard anything on a new owner. The guy running the restaurant is a super nice guy, Asian from New York. The food is over the top. Try it. |

Maybe they have alterative numbers? Management at Hotel Castillo is very laid-back, yet responsive in their own sort of way. I've always felt like part of the family when I stayed at the Castillo. If you need the confirmation right away, call Darren like Zebra suggested. |

For my 2 cents....I've stayed at the Castillo many times. Great staff and a laid back atmosphere. Very safe and sound. Darren the manager is always there to introduce new comers to others and welcomes you at the outside bar. Super place... |
