I lived in this apt from Dec 2006 until Mar 2010

It is a one br in a private house on the Guadalupe side of the Rio Toro which is the northern boundary of San Jose. Barrio Escalante is on the opposite side. It is a 20 min walk or 800 colone taxi to the SL. The owner of the property is from Texas and a great guy. He lives on site and watches the property while you are gone. (and is very chica-friendly) Rent is 400/month includes all...electric water house phone internet and cable. Housekeeping available for a small fee. Rooms are nice and airy. i enjoyed my three years there very much. For more info PM me i have loads of pics

La D, Electric stove, full size fridge, plenty of cabinet space. As Phx mentioned, owner onsite (4 plex) two steel gates with locks. Safe neighborhood, one way in /out.

Is the Rio Toro the river that runs beside the Zoo? Just trying to get to know SJO better.

In a few years, I may be looking to rent something myself part time.

I keep having these fantasies about living in a nice comfortable 2 bedroom apt. in Barrio Amon near SL etc. Is there much available along those lines?
