I am on my one week count down to arrival and I was just wondering what's been happening at the LA bar/restaurant? If anything. Last time I was there was shortly after they let Cesar go and they had an old gentleman doing the bar (sorry, I forgot his name). Nice enough fellow, but the whole atmosphere around the bar was kinda dead, if you know what I mean. Sometimes Hazel would cover the bar and shes a blast, but I was hoping they would get some new young talent to liven things up a bit. Just wondering if anything has changed, since I know Matt has some strong views about dealing with the drama he's had running the staff in the past. Oh well, even if nothing has changed, I still love staying there and there's always other bar options within walking distance ![]() |

I think they are CRT members, not sure. I was by there a a couple of weeks ago and the bar was dead. i was going to eat but the restaurant had closed early at 7. |

The weekend before Christmas the bar/restaurant was completely dead. I walked through going to & from my room & there were 0 customers in the bar/rest during the prime hrs of 5-9pm on fri/sat/sun. What a waste! |

Hello All, I stayed at LA from 12/24 to 12/31, got to know Don and Mike who have been making some changes to the Bar/Restuarant. First let me say how warm and welcoming both Don and Mike are--as a newbie on my first trip they were willing to take me under their wing and share their own knowledge of the area and such. They recently just hired a new Chef Jose--he cooks some great pasta dishes. They also just recently hired a new bartender--let me say I got a glimpse and she was really attractive!! I am not sure when she starts, but I anticipate within the next couple of weeks. They are in the process of updating their menu, and updating the decor within the Bar/Restuarant. Not sure when the changes will take place, but it is in the works. LA will always be different from the SL or the DR as it is just a different atmosphere away from that action that these places offer, but is a place that I think will pick up. It is a nice place to recharge away from the action, but also allows you to bring your companionship and relax. USA |

I'll probably be in the place by 2:30pm tomorrow afternoon ![]() I'm glad they are making changes. I always liked that little bar as a staging area for the afternoons/early evenings before I would head out to the SL or the DR. Also, a lot of times it was handy for my favorita to wait there and have a drink if she arrived before me. I'll report back on the new bartender ![]() |
