Gents!

I am doing some research for a future trip to San Jose in 2012 and have HLH as my number one choice but also wanted to know if anyone has recently stayed at the Hotel M near the San Pedro Mall.

Any info regarding the following would be appreciated:

1) Hotel M is now a "private club" where you buy blocks of nights for $1K, $1.5K, and $2K. How is this establishment tracking the nights used and does the fee have to be paid ahead of arrival?

2) The rooms look great on their website, are they actually as nice in reality?

3) I've heard chicas are available in the bar for higher than Del Rey prices. Is this still the case and what is the quality (looks and performance)?

4) How are the owners or managers of this establishment? After staying at HLH, Bktuna is now the standard by which I assess all hotel management against.

Thank you for any and all feedback.

Pura vida,

Allister1369

P.S. - I tried to search specifically for Hotel M on CRT but the search results stated that there were too many entries with the word "hotel" in them.

There are several recent topics on Hotel M, including this one: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=39559 which you should read before making a decision.

In response to your questions:

1) You pay the fee up front, then you schedule your stay(s) with the hotel depending on room availability.

2) Rooms are as nice as advertised but with some wear and tear. I have stayed in and recommend #1, #2, #3, #9, and #6. Actually any room is fine except for #7 - stay away from #7 unless the hotel is full.

3) Hotel M is NOT like the HDR or SL. There aren't chicas sitting around on premises waiting for customers. The hotel does throw parties and invite chicas in. The frequency of parties and number of chicas varies. The chicas do ask for far more $$ than comparable chicas at HDR. As many have pointed out, some of the chicas you see at M can be found the same night at HDR asking for cien.

4) The thread mentioned above should provide you with some insight.

Miamiheller and Srlim, thank you for the responses and the link to the post. I will give it a read before making any reservations for my next stay.
