I am booked at amistad for late march early april and would like to upgrade to a room with a balcony. Does anyone know which rooms have such a feature? If penthouse is the only option is it worth it?

Thanks!

312 is the only room with an actual balcony as far as i know.
think its worth it although the current setup of the room is a little strange.
this was part of the original owners room/area that included 310 and 311 from my understanding.

the ph 312 is the only 1, I stayed there a couple of nights when I felt like splurging. The room has a lot of extras-big screen tv, jacuzzi tub, sauna, living room, big dining table, wine cooler, the balcony, but $150usd + tax is a lot of green!

GREAT room for a party and all of the chicas love the balcony. It has a couch and a love seat and even a bar. Many, many places to bend a chica over, or put on instead of the bed

Just a couple of small drawbacks, for me, to this room. First is you cant see the TV from the bed, as it is tucked around a corner. Second, is all the light comes in early in the morning. There are drapes across the sliders to the balcony, but they dont hold much light out, plus the windows up near the ceiling let a bunch in as well.

Sin? I dont remember paying $150. I thought it was $119 less CRT 10%?? Maybe I was there during a deal.

All in all, pull the trigger if it is availble, IMO. You won't be disappointed. The chicas like to hang a little longer in a nicer atmosphere. At least that has been my experience. Enjoy!!

I found many more posts concerning the rooms at La Amistad, so no need to answer my questions from above. I have email carlos and asked what rooms are my options and then will have a better idea for what I am looking at when I arrive on 12/24.

I hope that I am not inline for the smaller PH room without windows--

thanks,

USA

I have room 201 booked for my stay while at the Amistad. I am a little concerned about this room to the train noise (I will plan yo bring ear plug), but more concerned about the type of room this one is. It sounds more like a King Suite vs a PH. I have tracked down about 7 or 8 threads, but most talk about the 3xx or other 2xx rooms. One person said that this was their room of choice.

Would someone be able to comment specifically about room 201?

thanks,

USA

I'll be in room 201 next weekend, first time in that room. I'll post my thoughts on it if you like.

312 was ok, lots of chicas thought it was a drag climbing up there. My only real issue was with the morning light as Tstef157 indicated.

Yes, the 201, 202 and 203 rooms are really more like suites than "penthouse" rooms, but they are real nice. The 310, 311 and 312 penthouse rooms are rather quirky and different from each othe, but the 201-203 rooms are still pretty new, they were built after the main hotel renovation was complete. 203 is the smallest of the three.

Stayed in 202 last year. Very nice with about 6 windows you can open and large jacuzzi, large shower for a least 2 people. Very nice bed and 46" flat screen. As you walk in take the first stairway up. Train not a factor. Had TLN every night

I believe 201 is to the right of 202 as you're facing 202's door from the hallway. I've never stayed there but have peeked inside and to me it's kind of closed in and not as big as 202 & 203.

Does anyone know if there's a real fridge in 312 or just the wine fridge? Thanks.

Stayed 3 nights in 312 last spring. Nice room, big space and great balcony with shitty view. Small.fridge, but very nice bar. Room is great if u plan on spending alot of time in your room. Personally, for me it was a waste. I spend my time out all day and only use the room to sleep.and bang.

If the 2xx rooms are more like suites, would you say they are as nice or equally nice as the more traditional PH 3xx rooms?
