this was a new one on me. made flight reservations last night using my chase rewards like have done many times prior.
this morning i received this email.

the first clue was the ring through transferred or bumped on the second ring.
the guy that answered was official enough. "may i have your account number please?". absolutely phucking not. cross reference me. when he couldn't do that i hung up and called chase.
they have no reference for the number and after checking tacas website all was confirmed.
