Yes, that's it....I had time for a double Jack and coke and a beer, and three cigarettes, that was my first trip to Costa Rica, will never forget it. I was not a member of CRT, and had never heard of CRT. I booked a flight with a layover in Belize, then San Salvador. Since then, I fly direct on CONtinental, having joined the frequent flyer program. I have been upgraded to first class 4 times.
On a separate note, on that first trip, I got checked into the Castillo by 11:00pm and by 11:30 I had showered and was ready for a beer, not knowing anything at all about CR, I asked the clerk at the hotel where I could get a beer, he directed me to Sportsmans Lodge.
Now, this being my first trip, I can still vividly remember the sights, the smells...and excitement....as I walked toward SL...as I said in a trip report a long time ago.
When I went into the bar, it was before the new addition of the lounge area...but the bar was packed...another member remarked that they close at midnight, well, I need to look at my passport for the date, but it must have been a special occasion, because, i knew at that point, that I had found my personal nirvana
