There's 156 replies to this same question in this category of the board--"List your dependable drivers" or something similar, I guess you didn't see it. You'll be able to make a good choice from numerous current posts and get a nice 1.75 hour ride in a comfortable vehicle with an English speaker recommended by brother's. He will be waiting for you at the front door of the airport, you'll have his cell#, and he'll be someone who is worried about your later post on his services on this board. If you are new to CR, he will teach you alot and make it cool for you. Also, there are a few things to see on that trip, and if in no hurry, a few short stops in cool places to stretch your legs. The last thing you want to do is take a cab even if you save $20.

Walk to the road in front of the airport see a red taxi and offer him $ 50.00 to Jaco . He may show you a paper saying $ 125 . Say no and meet in the middle. Also try interbus. No need to look up old posts as they may not reflect today.

Contact puravidatransport, I've used his services many times and Steve has always done an excellent job. Plus he's American and honest to boot, so you don't have to worry about getting jacked around or at worst hijacked by a taxi driver or turismo driver.

Alot of newer guys fail to use the search funtions on this board, understood until you become familiar, but I steered you to the exact locale on this board earlier for an abundance of great driver's who could help you and referred you to that thread, or suggested to use the search. Brothers on this board are very diligent in helping each other asking for info, not previously posted or current, which is why it is popular--we help each other. Now you want to know what a driver a later poster recommended will charge.

As advised, there's a complete category in "hotels, transportation, etc" I referred you to earlier dedicated to reliable drivers and it's been posted 162 times and current. Don't want to mess with you, but I see this kind of thing too many wasted times--"how far, how much, how do I, best hotel, how much", etc. Great q's if you haven't done your due diligence on this board which is the best internet library for non-Tico's info on the net. On your issue, there are 50 answers with a 2 second search. A recent thread showed the most unpopular post question is the no brainer who didn't search this great library first. You waste everyone's time.

The guy you are looking for, a member of this board so it is even easier, has posted all over this board with his rates from SJ to Kingdom Come 20x. Never used him but reviews are good. Search, and if you can't find an answer within 30 seconds, post a q, but don't ask to be spoon fed.

And let us know who you chose and how it worked out for you, this is useful info. I am sure you will have a great time, and everytime you will have fewer or better q's and/or will contribute for the better of the brotherhood.

I think DGD wasted more time than I did for blabbing to no end and telling how good this board is.I know it is good ,but the list of the drivers is outdated.I am asking a legitimate question that benefits all of us.

I was looking for puravidatransport this am for one of my friends who is going to SJ-Jaco Saturday. There's two pages of replies on this board if you search puravidatransport which is also Steve's web site. Use the search option. And no need to get nasty with a poster who tried helping you.

I know everyone recommends against it, but if you speak any Spanish, the pirate taxis have always been good value for me. Have taken them for years. Just make sure you agree on a price and repeat it so there is no surprise at the end. Beware though, I seem to have better taxi luck than most.

For CRT VIP members, I do the airport to Jaco run for $100 ($125 non-VIP) in the Toyota Landcruiser with stops to eat, see the crocodiles under the Tarcoles bridge or wherever you like on the way... From San Jose Central, it's $125 for a VIP or $150 for non-VIP.
