AA has a deal for December( ya I know they are broke and kinda suck, but they have me by the balls when it comes to flight times)
They have a deal going where you get lots of extra miles when you buy X amount

For me buying 25,000 is just $100 over the price of a ticket to SJO
So I can enjoy the perks of a gold member, and cash it in for a free trip latter

Anyone know the ins and outs of buying miles

Went back and read the fine print... the miles do not count for the gold level
