has the stopover in houston or san salvador but thats as cheap as i have seen for a while. have been checking mid to late october.

Yes. It's even available for $5 cheaper on CO/UA. $278 is the Round trip price and that includes taxes and most fees (a 2nd piece of checked luggage may be $40 extra).

There actually is a logic behind airfares, but most of us just aren't privy to that highly proprietary information. It sucks that somebody who's 1500 miles further than pays less than you do. :lol:

It's a nice price, but 12 hrs layover in Houston - I prefer TACA for $408 and travel time is
51/2 hrs.

That too - the S FL - SJO is direct, and about 2.3 hrs - so there is a catch to everything - still, if you have the time and can put up w/ a 12 hr layover (now that's what I call a phucking layover :roll: :shock: :lol: ) its not a bad deal, money wise - but what do you do for those 12 hours - sit in the airport - sorry, not for me! :roll: :lol: :roll:

i have a question. i have never flown anything but direct to san jose, usually taca. i know about luggage and no food etc. but what can i expect in security issues changing planes in houston?

when i leave LAX they don't do the whole scanner thing but i am guessing they will if i fly to houston. and probably houston to lax.
