I´m trying to find a hotel in or around San Jose that has a gym. Does anyone know of any?

Sportsmen's has a small gym. But it is more than adequate for working out. Does it matter if it is a monger friendly hotel? Because a lot of the regular hotels have gyms in them too.

It doesn´t matter to me whether its monger friendly or not. Are you sure a lot of regular hotels have gyms? I´ve been looking and haven´t found any. Which is why I came here.

Well, you being in Tibas if you don't mind going there I suggest the SL unless you are looking for a lot of free weights. I thought the Radisson had a gym as well. Maybe not anymore.

Check the video and pictures on the Sportsmens lodge website. Bill put in all types of equipment. Great for working out. That is him on the treadmill. More than adequate for most needs.

Well, if he can not find a hotel with a gym that suits him. He can always do a weekly membership at one of the TONS of gyms in and around SJ. But if it is just to get a work out in when he is visiting the SL is more than adequate.

Crowne Plaza Hotel San Jose Corobici - InterContinental Hotels

They have a great health club on side, the gym is better than most in the US. A large pool, sauna, hot tub, etc. The equipment is all modern and state of the art. A beautiful facility with two restaurants on site. A really great asian restaurant, Fuji. The last time I took my girlfriend there I was impressed. They did not ask to see her Id or check her in, treated her just like a guest in the US hotels. I really like this place. Check out room rates on Orbitz or some different discount sites, usually some great prices.

Here's the Websites for the above mentioned venues:
http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/crowneplaz ... oteldetail
http://www.hotelsantotomas.com/
http://www.hotelsone.com/san-jose-hotel ... 5godzhaJ5A <<a general/booking site with a good list of other hotels to check out
http://www.radisson.com/san-jose-hotel- ... 0/crsanjos >> this advertises a fitness center as does the Crowne Plaza and the Barcelo Palacio; the Santo Tomas is not explicit about it
