This has been reported here already. Apparently HDR had some minor booze licence problems and stopped selling booze for short while. Rumours spread like crazy. But everything has been taken care of and is business as uaual.

Latinblush aka Jose Luna....was trying to be cute.... I find it irresponsible and if I owned the DR I would be pissed at the irresponsible "reporting/posting" in the blog....or website...or whatever.

Mr. Luna (pen name) should be ashamed.

Another big shame is the continued non-support and non-sponsorship of the HDR to CRT!

A couple of years ago I had this conversation with Greg (one of three owners) I told him about CRT and told him he should offer VIPs discounts and he would do even more business. His response "We are trying to find ways to do LESS business." Oh well.......

Other companies have made similar comments - All I can say is be very careful what you wish for, especially in the case of an "industry" highly dependent on the public taste. Next time you see him, you can tell him you know at least one guy doing his best to do less business there (that would be me; I don't like the place for many reasons) :)

Companies like Xerox (early '60's) and Ford (Mustang mania during the mid '60's) had similar comments - what they would give for those days words cannot express - again, be careful what you wish for.....

AT&T had a a saying in their hallowed halls "We are so big, we don't need Customers"!

If it weren't for the obvious, I'd never set foot in there, haven't stayed there in 13 years. Now they brought the bitch back, and so Greg will be saying that less and less 'cause she'll run off every third of fourth newbie who has a simple problem.

Heard the HDR lowered their room rates to $55? Economy standard I think. It use to be $85. Looks like they are having a hard time filling the place up I guess. Maybe a good time to approach them again.

If they just eliminated the $11 chica fee for CRT members that would be great. Though I do prefer staying at the SL. It's just to crazy when you stay at the HDR. Chicas just rushing to get outta there so they can head back downstairs for the next one. Better to take them out of that environment to get a better experience. Rainman told me this and it's the truth. Each trip gets better and better. 6 times now.

Bob, Why in the world you they need more busineess? We were just there a week or so ago and it was packed. Hell you were even there. Hell if I had a business like that why would you want to give anyone a discount?

The bar may be packed, but I can tell you with 100% certainty they have very little hotel business. And no, the lights are not off because everyone is having sex.

In fact I am pretty sure anyone who is willing to pay up to $100 a pop is going to leave the lights on!

DC,you must have the world's greatest self-discipline. If I lived across from the Del Rey, I would have been broke and homeless long ago. I would probably be competing with "shoeshine boy" or "blood pressure guy."

$55 is about what they are worth....or even less. To be kind, they are real basic.

Hey, DonCarlos - where across the street - I did not know that there were apartments close by - not looking to stalk you  - just curious where you are talking about!
