The night before last I stopped in at the SL for a drink. Now I know that most of Costa Rica is suffering from a downturn in business during this year's rainy season, but I thought Bill at SL was the exception. Times are tough when I have to buy HIM a drink. Most of this post is true except that I failed to mention that he reciprocated. jajajaja

From my personal obervation, I've never seen the SL be as slow as it has been recently. I'm not an expert on judging business, but Friday and Saturday nights seem thin. I hope that I'm wrong.

K thanks for your concern,

To be honest K, things have never been better. We are breaking our prior years sales records monthly.

I stopped in various times this past week & the joint was usually fairly busy. I bought a bottle of Flor de Cana @ the bar which I enjoyed throughout the course of the week. I enjoyed a couple of good meals there & spent part of my 55th birthday there, on which Gary & a few others made sure I didn't buy a drink. Most importantly, I met some quality, fairly-priced trim @ the SL which is the # 1 reason we all go there in the 1st place. Good job Bill!

my past trip . thursday night was the best night as far as the amount of people and girls .....in 5 nights my restaurant tab was around $190 ....that included 2 times that my wing and I had dates and I took care of the bill and 3 times I had the nystrip which is the best steak in town (for me)

Also on that tab ....some girl I said ok to having a drink put a $12 drink on my tab which just pissed me off .....

not sure of her name but the short little girl was the perfect rack (big) is the best server they have there ....cant tell you how many times (if she was waiting on me or not) she would be running that dining room .....making sure drinks were filled plates were cleared and what I like most ..she looks for guests who have that "look" of needing something ....

sincity ////thank you for the bday cake ...very good

my 5 night stay in the sportmens was great ....all rooms were good but the Paz (i think that"s the correct spelling ) single near the the front desk , needs a overhaul .....very dated and worn out .....other than that I was happy with the rooms

Glad to hear it Bill. I've only been in a few time in the last few weeks, so I'm glad I'm wrong, and all the best to you and the SL!

SL was a full house (as usual) this past weekend but on average the number of chicas seemed to be on the low end.

Thursday night was busy with mongers and chicas, Friday night less so, Saturday night (no fight) was quiet, Sunday was very mellow. A few chicas popping in to check out the scene, walk around, then head back out.

For those who enjoy the HDR, on my one and only visit Friday night I did notice it was a buyer's market -- few mongers walking around + high number of desperate/sullen/anxious chicas. The BM bar had quite a few empty seats -- you could easily find a seat at the bar if you so desired. Many chicas doing the "touching you on the arm" bit as you walked by in an attempt to get your attention.

HLH's happy hour continues to roll in its quest to dominate the 5-7 time slot. Even Sunday's happy hour was packed. I counted over 30 mongers at one point, with maybe 10 chicas. Daisy was as happy and busy as I've ever seen her -- at one point she even danced with a monger.

Chilimike , I believe you are referring to Alejandra. Quiet/efficient/rack/thin/nose?

She may be small, but don't try to trade shots of Patron with her as she will win...

Sportmens looked busy during my five night stay. Seems like they've developed a robust restaurant/bar business and the hotel business seemed very healthy. Even healthy businesses have lulls.

I hope all our sponsors do well!

The Sportsman is over the top during the NFL season although the weather is not the best. Just one three month long party. 8)
