You should really use the search function and read the posts on Jaco Hotels. The Hotel Cocal Casino and Resort and Vista Mar Condos are currently IMO the best place to stay at in JACO. I was there in June so this recent info.. The Cocal is remodeling. The rooms that have been remodeled are Very Nice. If you have a wingman or 2 the Condos are the way to go!!! http://www.vistamarcr.com/home.html http://hotelcocalandcasino.com/ |

You can checkout Hotel Poseidon also. They have a CRT discount if you contact through here. I will have a line on some reasonable condos on the south end of Jaco soon also. Possibly an apt. also come football season. |

Thirdworld may be loath to link to a biz he's involved with but I'm not thus constrained: http://www.hotel-poseidon.com/ Be sure to check the imbedded video--it talks about and shows the bar/restaurant plus the Sky Lounge. A knocked-out nifty. Get in touch with our main man TW before booking. |

Srilm wrote: That Hotel Poseidon looks like a nice place. I'll give it a try my next time in Jaco. Also Morgan's Cove -- had a great time there. Just eat and drink elsewhere because it's pricey at the pool bar. SR In for a penny, in for a pound--here's more on Morgan's Cove Resort & Casino--nice opening page featuring the Jaco cove: http://www.hoteljacocostarica.com/ |

I have replied to your other post regarding Jaco, this is similar questions you had in the first post, but will post my answers here as well. I have actually stayed in all three hotels. Copacabana - SHIT Hole, I will never stay there again. Yes they have a CRT discount on room rates but they charge a $20 chica fee and the rooms are shitty at best. Some have been renovated some have not. The pools are dirty nasty and disgusting. Customer service is pretty good from the front desk. Food quality sucks and the male bartender is a jack ass of all jack asses. Claritas - not a bad option. They have rooms with and without air conditioning so make sure you chose wisely. Older hotel directly infront of the beach. Nice bar to hang out at during sunset. Some chicas on site although I have not spent much time there. Only stayed here one night and it got the job done. Cocal - best option of these three, just try to get a second floor room if you can. All rooms renovated and in good shape. Big comfortable beds. The rooms I have stayed in had double queen beds. In slow season they front desk agent on the phone was receptive to negotiating the price over the phone... I got $65 cash rate for a last second reservation as I called in the car on the way from my house in Guanacaste, arriving about 2 hours later. |

Guess that depends what you mean by "best". If you're cheap and simply want the "best" price then go with one of the ones you referenced. If you mean "best" in terms of quality and service that's something else. Personally, one of my favorites which combines luxury and amenities with a reasonable price is The Club del Mar: http://clubdelmarcostarica.com/ Canciones del Mar is also an excellent selection. There are boatloads of comments on all these options. Easy to search. Read the boards. |

BondTrader, I just recommended Club del Mar in another forum. Haven't mentioned them here because I don't know if they are chica friendly or not. Are they? I agree it is one of the nicest spots in town. And on the south end of the beach which is much nicer and quieter. Not much for the north side personally, rarely go north of where Subway is located in town. Not that I eat there, just using it as a reference. ![]() |

I stayed at Club del Mar several years ago and enjoyed it a great deal. Not sure if the chica policy has changed since, however, back then I was using GG ******* and on 2 occasions Johanna sent girls to me and not only was there no issue but the security guards (because it's pretty dark there at night) actually directed the girls to my room. That was then. Again, not sure if that's changed. |

I've stayed at the 3 in question and Canciones Del Mar. My favorite for price, location, grounds, and rooms is Villas Estrellamar (no guest fee). |
