I stayed at this place several times and found it to be a very nice alternative to the usual hotel experience. It is within easy walking distance to Sportsmens and downtown. the price ranges up to $420 per week for a small apartment. The only problem I had was the lack of courtesy by the staff. The minimum stay is 1 week and they will not let you stay an extra day without paying for another week. They just do not get it. Overall I have not had any problems there including no check-in for my chicas since there is no one at the gated entrance to check ID. I do not have any affiliation with this place in case any of you are wondering. I only want to tell you about another easy place to stay for $60 per night(7 day min.) They do not know about CRT so do not ask as that might spook them. Their phone is 2256-1825 Razor |

here is a post from Brother CLN20 from last year Quote: I stayed here for a month back in April. I rented a studio for about 450/mo I believe it was. A great location, safe and secure, and fairly new. Really had no complaints about the conditions at all. Cable tv, internet, no a/c, however they did provide a fan when I asked. Like Orange said, you have zero shot of bringing back a girl to the actual hotel. If you're in the apartment building, you have to be realllly discrete. A lot of families stay there, as do eco-tourists. When I signed my agreement for the month, at first they grilled me about why I was a single guy in CR. I gave them the "I want to learn spanish" line, which worked. However, it eventually must have gotten back to them that I had brought in a few girls, as when my lease was up, they basically kicked me out. They had told me I had the option with 3 days before the lease end to let them know of my plans. When I had gone to tell them I wanted another month, they said "oh, we already rented your apartment, you have to be out in 3 days". Their way of telling me to GTFO, lol. Oh well, I cant blame them. They clearly made it aware that wasnt their business model and at least honored their end of the agreement. A great place to stay if you're hanging out, but if you're living the single male lifestyle, I'd direct you somewhere else. Or just stay there for a month and see how many you can get away with. Brother Orange and others also noted/discussed their restrictive policies in the same thread. |

That is really helpful, Cali - thanks for finding it and posting. ![]() With the change in policy at the Presidente, I think guys need to know the deal wherever they are staying, or thinking about staying - and while Razor's experience was a tad less strident than CLN120's, folks need to be aware of the real policies of these properties. I think Razor meant well and posted his real experiences - but ask yourself the question - if you are "Living the single male lifestyle...." - would this place be on your radar? (Also - don't you just despise the "ecotourists" - some on every plane down - you can pick 'em out a mile away - and on the return trip you can SMELL them at the same distance - with their green nylon zip off pants......ugly T shirts - disgusting hiking boots - backpack.....YUCK ![]() ![]() ![]() DON'T GIVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY TO PLACES THAT BARELY TOLERATE YOU - OR PREFER YOU WERE SOMEWHERE ELSE (Also don't patronize places that don't allow cigar smoking - OK OK - that one IS JUST A PERSONAL WISH! ![]() ![]() ![]() Kidding (somewhat..... ![]() ![]() |

I also had a friend who stayed there and he was told to leave after 2 weeks because he had 'various female friends' who visited him. When he signed the lease for a month he was told that if he had a girlfriend she could visit. The front desk wanted her name. Only that girlfriend could visit. When the management discovered that he had various girl visitors his lease was terminated. They are nice apartments, I was there, and the location and price is right. However you have to play by their rules, and the rules are given to you before you sign the lease. |

THIS IS NOT A MONGERING HOTEL/APTS!!! I have stayed in the apts about 6-8 times. I would not try to bring a working girl there. Bottom line is that families stay there for extended periods and chicas are absolutely not allowed. They may not notice right away because there is nobody in the lobby usually (there's a guard at night-but he's usually sleeping ![]() BTW-a small studio apartment is about $210/week. For $420 is a 2 bedroom Superior Plus apt-overkill for one person. http://www.hotelaranjuez.com/apartmentsRates.html |

Before two trips I tried repeatedly to rent an apartment at Aranjuez, but they wouldn't return my e-mails and every time I called they said I would need to call back when a certain person was there, but that person never seemed to be available after five or six daytime phone calls. On my last visit I walked over to check it out. Had to wait 45 minutes for someone to show me an apartment, which was priced at about twice the price listed on their website. It's in a quiet little neighborhood, and the apartment I viewed was very nice and had a nice view, but my impression of the staff was that they couldn't give a s#@t less if they got my business or not. |
