Just seems like this is the first time I have seen this ....as most of us buy our flights around 6 weeks to a month out from our planned vacation date. As a rule once I buy my flight I check it a few times a week ....looking to see if the price has gone up or how full my flight is. This trip which I will be leaving MCO (orlando int.) to san jose on 5/9 and returning 5/16 was bought at $285 total round trip with taxes .....best times leaving at 730 am on both flights (layover short in miami on both flights) but what I am finding is that price has not moved one penny since I bought it .....as of tonight, one week out it's the exact same price.

Sportmens was almost booked full a month ago when I made my resv. as Half of my stay is in the court yard  so from the looks of the flight its a slow week in san jose but a full week at the sportmens (just shows what a nice job they do) anyway I hope this is something we can look forward to (good airfares and not jumping all over the place) I went back and check a few dates in July and August and found around the same.

Anyone reading this post ...if your on that same American flight give a post and let's share a taxi.......

I've tracked airline prices out of IND/CHI for over the past year and have found that several times when it's not a full plane, seveal airlines (not AA) keep the price the same up to the day of departure. The same is occurring ORD- SJO. IND on the other hand, has increased to over $700.

Did you check JetBlue for flights? They have a nonstop to San Jose and I got that flight for $303 leaving on Fri May 6th at 1015am and coming back to Orlando on Mon May 9th at 530pm.

Thx

MIA / SJO hasn't budged from $465 for a while. Last time I checked MIA was closer to SJO than MCO is.

Airlines pricing continues to be a mystery wrapped in an enigma etc. etc.

When I was looking for flights from Florida (Tampa, Orlando and Ft Laud/Miami), the cheapest flights when I booked were from Orlando, not Ft Laud/Miami

Obviously distance isn't always the biggest factor

Thx

jonpfl ...I have taken that flight many many times (jet blue non stop) but the few days I was looking it was in the high $300 to low $400 ....at $303 ...no way would I have passed that up.....but $285 is a deal.....I am with you on the flights out of tampa and Miami .....always at least $100 more with less miles (in fact if I was to buy the same connecting flight That I am taking from orlando to miami it costs me $100+ to catch it in Miami

I just booked a flight to Panama in Aug for ~$300 RT NS from Orlando on Copa

I live in Tampa but have no problem driving 90 mins to get a NS flight for that cheap

Doh! You think?

I just checked AA for MIA/SJO tickets leaving TOMORROW and returning next week. Total with tax: $276 r/t
Leaving 5/11 and returning 5/16: $276
Leaving 5/18 and returning 5/23: $276

Obviously people didn't bite and now they need to fill the plane - fire sale time.

BTW this is on AA.COM, don't bother calling reservations, they claim there is no such fare. That's OK - I just booked my next 2 trips :D

I thought you had to be at least 5ft tall to fly AA? :?

Just checked several dates in June and July - except for obvious high demand dates (MD, 4th of July), fares seem to be holding up at $276 r/t all the way until right before LD.

No telling if this is a AA.com booboo or a fare sale... get 'em while they're still there. Go to town, SoFla boys! And thank me later :)

FYI. Jetblue has a $99 each way from MCO to SJO fare going one right now. Turns out to be $308 roundtrip after taxes.
