I haven't heard anything,HOWEVER I wouldn't doubt it. It would seem like the Prez is just continueing on a steady path of not welcoming "Our kind" I wonder what they are doing about the restaurant and the Casino. |

Time to impeach the Presidente. They will never get any of my money, even for a beer. |

Never been a defender of the Presidente, but it doesn't help the cause with the behavior in the cafe I saw for years before the Prez started cracking down. Guys just can't be satisfied with getting a nut from a young chica, they just gotta flaunt it.. ![]() |

Plus the birdwatchers tend to get all atwitter if you flaunt your chica. |

Does anybody really care? The majority of CRT'ers have boycotted that shithole for a couple of years now. |

BlueSkies in another thread gave the first alert about what was happening: BlueSkies wrote: ok scuba presidente doesn't want one more prostitute in the hotel or restaurant is that more clear? but they disguise it by saying girl on the bad list with 5600 others now if the girl has never been there ever they will let her accompany you and then put her on the list, then when she tries to go again with another guy they will say she is on the list and only the security mgr knows why. They have been graduating to this and went full tilt about about 6-8 weeks ago this new year. They won't tell you before you show up their new policy. So don't plan on bringing even one chica there that has ever been with another guy I asked them point blank if i can still bring a guest and they said "yes" to my face on my recent trip, technically the truth, but the girl at counter had to ask her co-worker before answering as in the spirit of the law they were deceptive and not revealing there new true policy; but you can bring family members or a nun (no offense)to have dinner. Now men get used to doing the same thing (creatures of habit)so once you show up it is harder to check out once you have all your stuff unpacked so they might get couple days out of you; so if you want to bring a girl that has registered with another guy as guest before- your forwarned to stay in motion to get another hotel. If budget not object sleep inn you can get corporate or internet rate and just pay guest fee. so the girl could have never done anything wrong ever but as of last week they still will game the guest and sit there and argue some b.s. why she can't come in. After the staff will laugh when guest leaves that they just blew all this smoke in their face. The staff would probably like to be clear, but these are their instructions so they are juggling between the mgt and guest. Hotel mgt. feels it is better just to play this game and argue for 30 mins then to just tell the clear truth instead of making up all kinds of reasons why she is on the list when they know all the time I wanted just to be kinda subtle which is why i didn't get super clear above but i guess it means something to you or you wouldn't ask so i told you. Just a lot of drama there now in the atmosphere. I'm not bashing them as they are entitled to do as they please which i why i didn't post this as a seperate article dig on them, but just want to give a head's up to the directions in the road for the traveler; for what was a limited access road is now a bicycle built for one road ![]() It is nice to have option to bring a guest and be in comfortable clean place so i wish you the best in finding something and i'm sure you'll land on your feet like many others Now that road is closed, and yeah, Orange, I don't care. ![]() |

Not all CRT members stopped using the Presidente when they introduced the dress code and they have posted here that they continue to stay there. I suspect the outright ban might force them to seek other accommodations. To refer to the Presidente as a "shithole" is absurd. You may not approve of their policies but if you look at the facility it is one of the top hotels in San Jose and perhaps the premier hotel in the downtown area. |

Some ruin it for all. As a long time reader of this board, I find most CRT guys go above and beyond when it comes to manners and how to act in public. I am not shy but some of the language I have heard from loud voices tends to make you understand the issue. |

I have stayed at the Prez over the past 4 years or on about 15-20 occassions. I have been treated with nothing but respect by the staff. The rooms are nice and the place is certainly not a shithole. Anytime I have had an issue the staff took care of it promptly. The service has been outstanding. I never paid a chica fee. If this news is confirmed then I will move on. Time, and life, doesn't stand still , it's always moving. No need to waste alot of time bitching about it. As some have pointed out there are reasons for their shift in policy. They have probably just had enough with the BS. |

I am not shy but some of the language I have heard from loud voices tends to make you understand the issue. I think loud, drunken, behavior is offensive, and its a form of preventable stupidity - and over the years, I've experienced it staying at the Presidente. But to blame the loud, drunk, assholes for the policy - which is true, BTW - I know it for a fact - is wrong. The story I was told was a few years ago, an older woman of the family who owns the place took over; wheather in a real management or more ceremonial position, I don't know, nor does it really matter - and like the famous scene in the movie "Casablanca" whereby the police chief states in a loud voice "I'm disgusted to learn GAMBLING is going on here..." (while someone hands him his winnings ![]() ![]() The first hint should have been the cancelling of the CRT discount - Blueskies did a great job of clairifing the policy (I requested he do so b/c I travel every Jan w/ a group of friends who LOVE that place - when I'm not w/ them I stay elsewhere for a variety of reasons). I hate phonies and disengenuious people and business' and the Prez qualifies on both - RIP jag offs. PS Any business can set their own policies - I get that - just don't lie about it |
