109 certainly wont avoid train noise, it is in the hallway directly behind the bar and one fo the smallest rooms in the hotel....

You might like 210 or 211 not many stairs, and not much train noise if at all.. 307 and 308 in the back corner are good quiet options as well, but as you said, lots of stairs...

I didn't like the room....never got internet ......train sucked .....room is small, for me ....I don't think I will stay there again ...but some guys swear by the place ....staying there changed my trip.....as far as meeting girls (none on site) and going back and forth to sportmens for meals and just hanging out .....it just wasn't the same for me ..not staying at the sportmens.
The male bartender was the bright spot of the place as he went out of his way for anything I needed of ask for ....and gave great service .....anyone else who worked the bar (not so much) the room was small only, the bed to sit on when watching tv or trying to connect to internet, having a girl in the room ...again no place to sit and chat or have drinks ....price was $60 a night ....I have had friends stay in other rooms and they were better but my trip was over superbowl and sportmens were sold out ....
When I made my rev. the first guy I talked to gave me a lower rate over the phone ($49) so I took it ...then when they sent me my conformation on an email price went up $10 ...I wrote back and ....told them about the $10 difference and they acted like I made the story up....I told them $10 a day for a 5 night stay isn't going to make me change my plans ....but I know what I heard .....
If your trying to have a mellow trip ....or stay at a place that doesn't feel like a pay for play hotel ....its a choice for that ...staying on that side of the hotel the train comes into play ....and it will piss you off....

Stayed in room 202 last summer and a very nice room. Just one flight of stairs as you walk in. I could never get the internet to work on my laptop but 2 computers just to the left of the room. Huge jacuzzi and plenty of windows. I never heard the train from this room and short walk down the hill to the SL.
