I was there last month. They had a very good classic rock band on Friday night, and an excellent salsa band on Saturday night. I thought the food was fantastic. The seared Ahi tuna was incredible. It would be a very good place to watch sporting events. There were a few 'working' chicas there, but not many. Perhaps eight or ten per night. That was it. It is definitely not a place to pick up chicas. But, if you want to hear very good live bands, have a very good meal, or watch sporting events, I'd highly recommend it. I don't have an opinion on the rooms, as I've never stayed there (I stay at the Morazan). Addendum...Karol, who used to tend bar at the SL (and many years ago the NYB), is a waitress there. She's an incredible waitress and a very nice person.
