I have been to CR several times and stayed in San Jose however, I would like some feedback on beach cities on pacific side for both nightlife and a good quality beach and hotel stay. All feed back would greatly appreciated.

For a nice hotel/beach stay on the Pacific side you have a huge variety of choices... However, if you are looking for working girls, Jaco is the only safe bet.
For just a nice hotel/beach stay, would recommend Manuel Antonio first because it's close to San Jose, beautiful beaches, decent nightlife and wildlife/nature like you won't believe. Also has all the typical adventure stuff like zip lines, ATVs etc.
Lot of nice places up around Tamarindo but it's a long drive (or short flight).
New ferry from Puntareanas makes the south Nicoya area inviting like the Montezuma area...
Don't rule out the Atlantic side as Puerto Viejo is another great hotel/beach vacation area.
